I love the way this foundation covers, very well but not mask like as so many foundations appear on mature (63) year old very dry skin…I also use the matching powder in pearl in the neutral range..The foundation is expensive at almost $70 a small one ounce standard size bottle but I love the result on my face (once my wallet stops crying). I have tried just about every foundation from el cheapo to this high end product and overall I feel it is a good buy because I don’t have to reapply it several times a day and still look reasonably fresh and the color range is perfect for me…from my pale almost dead white in the winter to light to medium tan in the summer..It is attractively packaged as well and does not cause any irritation on my sometimes sensitive skin..If you do your homework you can also find a very good number of sample and trial sizes reasonably priced or free as a GWP.

This is a beautiful creamy foundation with a wide color selection. I wear 215n and I find that the slight peach tone gives my dry, aging skin a lift. I like this one almost as well as Estee Lauder perfectionist but the color range in Lancome is better than the EL, so I reach for this more often. This is just a bit too hydrating for me, whereas the EL is perfect in terms of texture, but I just blot this and use a touch of powder. if you have dry skin this is worth a try. Very smooth, very hydrating, lovely.

I have dry rosacea prone skin. After trying so many brands I found this a few years ago. Nothing else seems to compare. I wear a good moisturizer and find this foundation moisturizing enough to help. It does not settle into lines and lasts hours. The color did not turn orange or get cakey. At least once a week I receive a compliment on my skin. I am not a sponge applicator or brush user (heaven forbid) because of sensitive skin. Finger application works just well and spreads evenly. Pearl 140N matches me perfectly.

Finally the perfect foundation for my dry, hard to match skin. And like a lot of things, it’s very expensive. But I feel it’s worth the price. Almond (N) is the perfect match for my skin. Matches my skin tone, good coverage and a texture that glides on my skin.

Let me first start by saying that I did NOT want to like this foundation! The price- OUCH!!! But I love it. I really do. And that makes me both happy and sad. The color match is spot on. The fluidity is perfect, and I thought it covered like a dream! I was color matched, which I highly recommend for ALL foundations, as well as used a sample for about a week (again I recommend).
So far my most loved foundation for my aging, mature skin. I am normal to dry and have areas of hormonal redness and larger pores. This has a lovely serum, silky like texture. Does not settle into fine lines and pores. Coverage was excellent. When I looked in a mirror outside in the bright, natural light I couldn’t believe it. Flawless. I was so pleased, I knew I had to buy the full size.
I’ve tried more than a few foundations in my time. And since the aging process has caught up with me, finding the right foundation has seemed like a near impossibility…until now.
If anyone knows of a dupe, let me know. The cost on this is deplorable, really.

This is my favorite makeup! Having said that, though, I think the reason may be mainly the color. Absolue Pearl 140 matches my skin so very well! I don’t think another foundation has ever been such a good match for me.
Oddly, when I bought an extra bottle (I actually did that!) it later proved to be Absolue Pearl 130. Still not a bad match on me.
This covers rosacea, is comfortable to wear, and looks absolutely natural on me.

I received a very generous sample of this from Nordstrom when I was buying the new Grandiose Mascara. Since I love trying different foundations, I thought I would ask the Lancome salesperson for a recommendation for one of theirs. Background: I am 43, NC15, with dry, sensitive, rosacean skin. I am always looking for that perfect foundation – you know the one: luminous, skin-like, satin finish, evens out my complexion, makes me look 10 years younger. This was a fail on all counts. Here’s why:
– perfume: note to Lancome executives: stop putting perfume in makeup – there is no reason for it to be there. It is such a dated concept and feels very stuffy and old-ladyish.
– shade: I was matched by a sales associate to Pearl 120 (N), which was pretty close but quite warm and orangey for a supposedly neutral undertone. I have warm undertones but this wasn’t golden – it was a pale peachy orange. The lightest shade is 110 and that was too pink for me so we went with 120 which was too dark.
– finish: they might call this dewy, I call it greasy. My midday, it was pooling in my pores making them appear to be craters full of oil. And I have DRY SKIN so I didn’t even think this was possible.
– transfers: this never fully sets without powder and transfers onto everything
– staying power: had oxidized and separated by end of day — looked absolutely hideous
As you can tell, this product did not work well for me and I will not be buying the full-size product.

Now, I wouldn’t call my skin “very dry” because I rarely flake. This was recommended for my skin type and, I just, I really wish it worked for me! I just finished testing it today, here are the results:

It’s a thick fluid, not at all runny, but not as thick as Renergie Lift Makeup.
And yes I did moisturize beforehand, really dissatisfied.

I wanted to love this foundation because it was so moisturizing (and I spent a small fortune on it). But it never felt like it absorbed- and didn’t look like it either. After 6 hours practically all the makeup would melt off my face and it also seemed to get on my clothes and phone even if i used a primer and/or setting powder.
It didn’t help or hurt my acne put my pores looked like potholes.
The texture was nice and smooth but the finish has a sheen and almost a glitter (only noticeable in a magnified mirror). The colour was also too pinky/orange for me.
Might work well for very dry, mature, acne free skin with pink undertones!

i really like this foundation. It is expensive but i love everything about it but the price. the one with the pump( ABSOLUE BX MAKEUP) is for oily skin and the one in the jar( ABSOLUE MAKEUP) is for dry skin. I don’t know why both are suggested for dry skin. this foundation has great coverage, match me perfectly and last all day with my powdery sunscreen as primer..
