I have GWP size tubes of MG3 Buff and TG7 Honey. For reference, my skin tone is about NC25. TG7 Honey is way too deep and orange for me.
MG3 Buff is a pretty good match; it goes on yellowish and two shades too light, but oxidizes after a few minutes into a good match (albeit still a little yellowish). Formula is thick and creamy and gives full coverage. Dries down nicely, but emphasizes my dry patches and fine lines. Up close it looks like it is still sitting on top of my skin :/ Works better if I add a small dab of this to my daily moisturizer and work it in (thus, more like a TM).

Goes on SUPER thick

PROS
– full coverage
– easy to blend
– shade range
CONS
– longevity
– doesn’t ever seem to set
COMMENTS: I’m likely too oily for this because within a few hours, it broke apart pretty bad. I wasn’t too crazy about how it looked initially either. Coverage is great and it’s a very easy formula to work with, just wasn’t for me.

When Pur initially released this foundation, the most exciting aspect of it was the 100 shades. I know there was a bit of drama surrounding the number of shades (to my surprise!) but I’m happy to say I DID find my perfect match in this foundation.
My skin: I have dry skin that is prone to acne, light skin with a bit of an olive undertone. My best shade match is Koh Gen Do’s 213, but I can pull off warm/neutral shades including Tarte Light Sand, Catrice 030 Sand Beige, and Estee Lauder Doublewear in 2N1. Mac’s NC20 serves as a good starting point for me but runs too warm to be a perfect match.
My shade (LG6): I was a bit floored by how well this matched my skin! I don’t like taking my foundation all the way down my neck (prefer to find a good match so I don’t need to!) – with this shade, there was no “foundation line”.
Coverage: INCREDIBLE. This is a very full coverage foundation, and I absolutely did not need additional concealer to hide my acne scars.
Finish: While this is a thick foundation, it’s also surprisingly light in texture. It doesn’t seem to completely dry down (this is a good thing for me, you’ll see in the next section). I’d call this “demi matte” and think it’s actually quite flattering even on my dry skin.
Wear: This is where the foundation didn’t excel for me. While it looks beautiful for 4-5 hours, around the 5 hour mark, it starts to look a bit rough where my skin is more dry. That said, I find that I am able to smooth it out and extend the wear to 8 hours – but I consistently find that I need to touch up here. Still, I do appreciate that I CAN touch up – I’ve used some foundations that wipe away rather than “readjust” (hopefully you understand what I’m talking about here!) The most unflattering part of my face was where I have slight “11” lines – in all truth, this foundation does emphasize those by the end of the day. BUT – most foundations do, sadly, and especially full coverage.
Would I recommend it: in terms of shade matching, BIG YES. For full coverage, yes. For dry/mature skin – it’s a maybe. I do think Double Wear or Bobbi Brown Longwear is better in this aspect. But it’s also not bad. The trick is to catch the foundation before it starts migrating into fine lines. If you gently smudge it out and touch up with powder, you can easily get 10 hours of wear (again, even on dry skin!)
I ultimately like it and can see myself repurchasing, provided I am mindful about that touch up phase. Hopefully this review is helpful. Please note I was sent this for review purposes but this is my 100% honest opinion and not a sponsored review!
To see this foundation applied/swatched against others in my collection: (skip to the 8 minute mark for application/comparisons, and feel free to comment if you need me to swatch it against other foundations – I consider myself a foundation junkie above all other makeup types!)

My holy grail foundation is EL DW, but I am always looking to replace it. I love the fact there are 100 shades to choose from, which I believe everyone might be able to find their ideal shade. Pur Cosmetics website has a foundation finder tool, based on my EL DW color Rattan, MG3 was recommended. I have a hard time with foundation because I have sensitive skin. Ulta online and in store does not sell MG3. I was in Kohl’s and they sell Pur as well, I asked for a sample. I brought my own container. Kohl’s only had 10 shades in their store, so I went with MN3 to try the formula. The color match system on Pur Cosmetics was right, I was shocked since normally color matching systems are wrong. To purchase the entire range of shades, go directly from Pur Cosmetics website.
I love the pump and the doe foot applicator container. There is no smell to this foundation and I like no fragrance. I dotted this onto my face and the MN3 was a good match just not golden enough for my skin tone, but I was able to pull it off. I used a brush to apply this foundation in stippling motion where I have freckles and hyperpigmentation and buff other areas for less coverage. This was easy to buff and stipple.
I have hyper pigmentation and freckles on my left cheek and this provided a bit more coverage than my EL DW. I was able to use a tiny dab to apply a thin layer to cover the freckles. This foundation does require to be set with a powder. Initially this foundation is beautiful. I love how my skin looked youthful and hydrated. My first reaction was I found my new holy grail foundation. No transfer of foundation. It looked great for 3 hours. Then at 6 hours, it was looking a bit oily. As my oils started to come through, the foundation started to move around. At the 10 hours, the foundation has sank into my pores and I was greasy. EL DW holds up longer.
This foundation does slightly irritate my skin, I could feel a tingling and slight burning on my face.
I think this would be beautiful for those with dry skin.
PRO: high medium coverage, no fragrance, easily blends into skin, looks beautiful with a nice radiance
CON: not long wearing for oily skin type
