This is a slim tube lipstick in only one shade, Parisian Red. Imo this is a stain-type product. It doesn’t truly stain but gives the look of perfect popsicle lips. It is legit *weightless* and I adore the formula. I don’t notice a strong smell but there is a semi-strong chemically taste that is not unpleasant for me, but might be for you. It’s sheer but truly not THAT sheer and can definitely be built up. The color on me (olive skin, dark hair/eyes) is more of a hot pink red and gets less red as it fades (it will fade and transfer, but the end result is stain-y and lovely). I like but don’t love the shade—I will wear it all the time, especially come fall, but if they had a more true red or berry shade I’d be ALL over it. It’s not actually dying but after a while it feels like it is, if that makes sense. Like the product sort of contracts on your lips without having any visible effects lol. It sinks into lips and has zero texture, a soft satin-matte appearance (no shine), and is perfect for a very healthy, fresh faced look.
I would probably pay full price for this…but I’m glad I didn’t haha. They might be discontinuing it at that price though.

I got this from QVC and I love it! The Love Lock Hydrating Lip Gel is one of my favorites. Feels nice on the skin and once it fades it tints your lips slightly red so it never looks awkward. Fades evenly and doubles as a great blush. Overall, I would repurchase this!

I love a red lip but for everyday it can be a bit too high maintenance. This lip gel is the perfect balance because it’s slightly sheer and super hydrating. There’s nothing worst than having a bright color with dry lips. The color is definitely there but it isn’t as intense as a red lipstick. You can build it up to a true red if you wanted to.

This was part of a 4-piece set I purchased from QVC. The product name is apt although the shade name–Paris Red–is not. (It’s more of a red-leaning-slightly-fuchsia or a red-with-pink-undertones, although it’s not screamingly bright. I expected more of a true blue-red.) This product comes packaged in a slim tube that closes securely–no worries about it opening in your purse. There is a slightly sweet scent and taste, although there’s not enough of either to be annoying (I’m very sensitive to smells). It is indeed a gel, quite moisturizing (although not quite as much as Chantecaille’s Lip Chics), and fades evenly, leaving a pretty stain that looks great with a bit of lip balm over it. You can dab this on for a sheer, natural look or apply it with a heavier hand for a richer appearance. I like the product but don’t love it. The shade and formula are nice, but I would prefer a truer, cool red to this shade. It’s also pricey at $24 for .07 oz, and I would not have bought it outside the set, which was very reasonably priced. I will use it, but I will not repurchase. (BTW, you can use this as a cheek stain, although I have not tried this and probably won’t.)
