I am a Belle De Jour lipstick lover and I am also a fan of this Lip Pencil, the huge difference is obviously the matte effect (which i love) but the color is beautiful and nude, and if your a matte nude lip lover like me then you’ve gotta have this product!!

I actually had the lipstick way before having the lip pencil. But recently I purchased the liip pencil and I had a hate/love relationship for it. At first when I tried it on, I was like WTF? It made my lips look dry and it was too MATTE for me but then I started using it more with this MAC lip liner called SUBCULTURE, n I am starting to like it now. I would recommend adding some gloss to give it some AIR but overall it is a nice nude shade. I was looking through the reviews and wanted to thank those who gave me the idea of blending the lipstick and the lip pencil together. I am also a big Kim Kardashian fan and I heard she uses this product with SUBCULTURE liner and it looks amazinG~~~

I love this way more than it loves me. It is the perfect nude color and it is totally opaque over my highly pigmented lips. If worn over a lip primer it applies super smooth. Staying power leaves something to be desired but can be significantly increased with gloss if you don’t mind shine. Personally, I layer NARS lipstick in the same color on top. The lipstick is more sheer but helps the color stay (on its own, the lipstick is not quite opaque enough for me). Yes, this pencil is very expensive, however I will happily repurchase (I already have). Make sure you scrub and moisturize because it is indeed a drying formula.
