I received this liquid lipstick in the shade Hon-o-loo-loo in a showbag. I was a little sceptical about this shade because it’s very light and peachy unlike my fair skin and dark hair. I had high hopes but when I applied it, it was very thick and when it dried it was creased and so dry it felt like I’d have to put lip gloss over the top. I do like the smell of this lipstick though which was like a vanilla. The shade was way to light for me anyway so I don’t see myself wearing this in the future.

These are some amazing mattifying lipsticks! I tried one, and then went out to get another 5 more haha, The range of colours are great and the application is pretty smooth as well. Last a very long time. Reasonable price too.
The lipstick does transfer, so you may want to blot your lips after application to reduce this. Some colours have smoother application than others for some reason – usually I just add a little coconut oil onto my lips to ‘soften’ the formula if this happens.

I LOVE these, i own about 8 shades. They aren’t drying on me compared to most other liquid lipstick, they are one of the best liquid lipsticks I’ve used! They are sooo pigmented and smell amazing. I love how they’re creamy to apply then dry matte rather than an actual liquid, so it’s easier to apply. I don’t get why people don’t like these!

Worst matte lip product ive tried, actually hate it so much! It cracks instantly and feels disgusting on

I’ve got a fair few of these lip creams and for good reason. The colour selection is great and I find them all to perform consistently well across the different shades.
There is a fairly artificial smell that is a bit fruity when first applied but this does not take long to fade and become unnoticeable.
I find the colour payoff on these to be brilliant – very opaque and vibrant.
As with most matte lip creams, be sure your lips are in good condition before applying. I don’t find these dry my lips out further but if my lips are already dry, then these will make that quite obvious. It is also difficult to reapply another layer after a few hours of use without it balling up, but I am yet to find a matte lip cream that isn’t.
I will happily continue to purchase these as new shades keep coming out, particularly while the price is still reasonable!

SHANG-HI is the shade I purchased today for half price just $5 on sale.
It’s a very pigmented berry pink liquid matte lipstick. It applies easy enough, and dries very fast. It can be a little drying which is not uncommon for matte lip products but on the plus side the colour lasts and lasts.
The product has a sweet smell which I don’t mind and is Vegan friendly and not tested on animals. The range seems a little limited but I was not after my ‘usual’ shades I wanted something different and this colour is perfect for that.

I got the shade Doo -Bai, a beautiful deep berry matte at Priceline for about Aus $10. Matte lippies with exotic names seem to be trending now like NYX ,etc. I admit, I bought the color cos of its name since that’s my next destination of travel. Ok so here’s my take on Australia`s drugstore brand for lippies
Pros
1.Smells sooo nice, like some fruit candy
2. the sponge tip doe- foot applicator draws prefect lines… no liner needed
3.Comes off with makeup wipes .. no deep staining on lips
Cons
1.For some reason it flaked so badly on me upon application and didnt do justice on me and my cousin in all selfies/wefies at Blue Mountain!! ..Dries out at the centre of lips Arghhhh!
But when I got back to equator hot KL, I didnt face this problem!!! I reckoned its the weather.Perhaps some mattes work well in diff climates… (Doesnt work well during late spring/early summer in Sydney)
2.Dries out in certain climates and feathers so bad
3.kinda pricey for a drugstore brand but wait out for clearance sales!!!!
4.Only available down under… oppsie!
5.Packaging is pretty mainstream like all matte lippie brand these days. Nothing fancy
6.no staying power at all
Right now, Im lovin it in all year round summer in KL and its my go- to shade…i think it wld be a prefect fall shade if not for the friggin flaking when cold!!! ughhh
Overall, I wont recommend cos this product doesnt work for global extreme temperatures
But as a souvenir from down under, then go for it!!!

I own alot of the Australis Velourlips shades because I only really wear matte lipsticks.. and I’ve always been impressed with this line due to their cheap price, colour range and easy accessibility. The formulas are very hit and miss; each shade has its own pros and cons. The deeper shades like Doo-Bai and Buda-Pash tend to bleed and smudge around the outside of the lips if a liner isn’t worn, the nude shades like Mil-A-No and Ho-Chee-Min can sometimes crack and streak when applying. It’s also not a good idea to re-apply these lipsticks and they become very thick and flaky once more than one coat is applied. However, my favourites from this range are their newest shades; the limited edition Gem’s range. I didn’t purchase the white shade Full-Moon Stone because I have Jeffree Stars white liquid lipstick and nothing would ever compare to it. But To-paz or not To-paz, Em-ruled City and my favourite, Quartz and All, are really quite unique and flawless shades. Australis has got the formula, colour and scent 100% in these beauties. They stay on for literally HOURS, they’re not streaky at all, they smell really sweet and are super pigmented. I’d highly recommend these to anyone who can deal with a little bit of discomfort on their lips because their colour range is really beautiful.

I love some colours on this line but some are hyperpigmented.
The formula isn’t consistent in the line and the effectiveness depends on the colour you have chosen. It sometimes cracks and very drying. I love the reds, especially NY-Cee.
I liked Tokio’s colour but it’s so drying that it transfers.

After running into Priceline excited to buy the “mil-a-no” shade of the Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream, I expected the best of the best when it came to formula, color etc. After applying the shade it instantly had formed cracks in it, the formula was tacky and extremely pigmented, and molded to the lines in my lips. An easy comparison would be coloured zinc on my lips. I was extremely disappointed with this product. I’m not sure if it was just the shade I bought or if it was the who matte cream line by extremely unhappy..
