Perfect pinky/brown nude for my skin tone. I love the formula of this lipstick: moisturizing, creamy and fairly long lasting. It has replaced my Mac Creme in Your Coffee because I love the texture of these lipsticks WAY better than Mac’s!

So I noticed this isn’t the most popular lipstick in Too Faced’s La Creme line, too bad. I have fair skin, freckles, blue eyes and brown hair (I have quite a bit of Irish heratige), doesn’t sound good for a brown-ish lipstick, right? To my pleasant surprise, I actually love this color. It’s natural looking while still making my lips contrast from the rest of my face. I bought Cinnamon Kiss as well from this line and I think it was just too bright for me, I’m a lover of earth tones. To the ladies with darker skin tones, this would be a lovely nude lipstick. Ladies who love bright hues, this might not be a color you’d like, but this is a nice formula with plenty of options for color.
A comliant about the formula I have is that it isn’t really long lasting, maybe two and a half hours BUT it doesn’t dry out my lips at all, that and the color, make up for wear time. That being said, I still recommend exfoliating, moisterizing, lining, using a brush, etc… It’s easy enough to reapply anyway.
I absolutly love the packaging, it’s heavy, simple and elegant but not cumbersome either. The lipstick is quite expensive, but I’m more than willing to pay because it works very well on my complexion.
I recommend this lipstick, but if you can, go to a Sephora or Ulta and get a few of Too Faced’s La Creme lipsticks sanitized and try them on. It’s really the only way to properly gauge If you like the color on your skin. By the way, you can sanitize a lipstick by wiping off the top layer and dipping it in alcohol. Hopes this helps.
