I have been searching for a nice pink lip color to wear on days when I don’t feel like wearing soemthing more vivid, and I was interested in a long-wearing liquid formula. I have worn Revlon ColorStay for years, but recently it hasn’t been working on me as well-either they changed the formula, or my lips are just tired of it, so I bought Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Minimalist, and Dreamer. Minimalist is a very light neutral undertone pink that is unfortunately far too chalky on me-it sort of reminds me of that zinc lip protection that people wear to the beach. I am quite fair skinned, and this color almost makes my lips disappear! I have better luck with Dreamer-this is also a light pink, but it is less dull in its undertone-more cool toned. I layer NYX Soft Fuschia lipliner over it, which tones it down a little, makes it a bit less of a bubble gum shade. The consistency is lightweight and a little dry-I will probably wear lip balm over this to keep it from drying my lips out. Staying power is OK-it will probably need to be reapplied after eating something hot or gooey, but it doesn’t flake off on my teeth. I will probably buy it again and try some other colors-it comes in quite a few. Around $10-$12 at drugstores, and grocery stores.
