In the reviews below, it’s stated that Plumalicious is a close dupe for MAC’s Amorous. I’d also like to throw in my 0.02 and say that it’s really similar to Shrinigar by Nars too. Close enough to the point that I’m a little peeved I paid $25 for Shrinigar because, while that lipstick is beautiful and the color just a *tad* more unique and special, I much prefer the formula of Plumalicious. (Despite the silly name, lol.)
Plumalicious will go on sheer in the first coat, giving it almost the EXACT same look as Shrinigar, but it can be deepened to fully opaque in the second. It’s creamy, easy to apply, and the wear is amazing and long-lasting. The color is a lovely cool mid-tone berry that can read vampy yet not too dark/goth. It looks trendy but it also looks classic. Approps for day or night, IMO. There is a slight frost but it’s just enough to catch the light, and I’m not a ~frost girl~, but it is extremely pretty. Doesn’t catch on any flakes or settle into lines, either.
This lipstick is amazing. It is five dollars.

This is a creamy opaque in 2 coats deep plum wine color. The color is dark enough to make a statement. It feels almost almost red on my Asian nc30 skintone. I/m in love with this. Not completely matte but not frosty. Creamy. Lined with a dark color, it is just gorgeous. Gorgeous!!

This is a middle of the road color between berry and plum for my pigmented lips with a pearl finish. It can be worn during daytime or nighttime as last quite a while without being dry on the lips. One-two swipes is enough coloring.
My skin tone coloring: summertime- Lancome’s “Nu”, fall/winter: Prescriptives “Champagne”

Love! I paid under 5 dollars for this in Target. Oh, how I love this lipstick. It’s moisturizing, doesn’t feather into my fine lines, lasts a good 4 or 5 hours before I need to touch it up, it’s not drying and feels very comfortable on my lips, there is no fragrance and it has a very “mild” pearl finish. Plumalicious is a medium~darkish muted plum shade. Oh, just so you know, Plumalicious is a dupe for Mac Amorous, I own it also and they are so similar, only difference is Amorous is more of a matte shade and feels a tad dry on the lips. I highly recommend Revlon Plumalicious if you are on the hunt for a plum lipstick.

I have a lot of higher-end lipsticks but I find myself coming back to this one as my go-to “statement” colour that’s still calm enough for an ordinary day. It’s very flattering for me (a cool-toned medium plum, sort of a hard shade to find — most plums are a little too warm and brown for me, but this stays cool without being purple). The formula is great, too — not drying, applies smoothly, with some staying power. When it does wear off, it does so evenly, instead of settling into cracks or going chunky.

I was a little surprised how high the ratings were for this lipstick…especially when I first opened the tube (it looked very dark & I was scared). However, this is one of those fall shades that can look perfect for fall/winter if applied correctly. On well moisturized lips with soft application…BAM you will get the perfect fall lip color. The kind of shade that makes you want to put on your new pair of boots & switch to your fall wardrobe. However, dare you over apply or have dry lips and you are back in the 90’s. I remember actually having this problem with MAC Fluid back in the day. Good application = gorgeous fall/winter look. Bad application = sucks the life out of you. I am MAC NW20 with pinky complexion with gold undertones. I have dark, dark brown hair and brown eyes, naturally rosey lips.

I really like how this shade pops against my caramel-toned skin. I like plums because they seem to wake up my face, and this is a great example. Not too dark, bright, cool, or frosty. It’s the perfect everyday plum. The Super Lustrous formula is great as well. It feels almost like a balm on my lips.

This is my go to HG lipstick of all time. I am pale with dark hair and blue eyes.
I wear it everyday.

$8 at CVS. I cannot believe my luck with this shade. I love it. This line of lipstick will soon become a staple in my makeup bag if they are all this moisturizing. ( I guess that’s the ‘lustrous’ part). Anyway, it behaved in every way a lipstick should and was not drying or too matte or pearly. It definately surprised me since I am fair-med with pink undertones. I thought it would be too dark for me. It must be blue-based or have some hue in it that compliments the color of my teeth. I love lipstick that makes my teeth look whiter!
I paired it with L’Oreal Never Fail lipliner in Plum 707. Perfect match IMO.

While I love Revlon lippies, I tend to find most of the colors too warm for my skintone, which is strange considering I am nc42. Plumalicious is exactly what I was looking for – a midtone plum that is not too blue with just enough shimmer to brighten my face. It is a fresh, modern color that makes me look polished and sophisticated.
