Picked this up at CVS for free with the $5 CRT and the Revlon coupon. I had all the other reds but this one is new to me. The tube is black and red, like it’s LE, and it’s not matte, but it’s a red and I love red lipstick. This one is deep and blue-based, and seems like it would look good on everybody. It also has a faint fruity scent that is not unpleasant. Today I thinned it out as a stain for a subtler effect. I’m a big fan of Revlon lippies and foundations. I just wish they would make a good mascara.

This is the glorious red that I’ve been searching for. I’ve always had a hard time finding the right red lipstick for me. I range from NC30-NC40 and I have pigmented lips which can alter the shade of lip products. True reds tend to lean orange on me and sometimes have a dull, warm, brownish tint. Gross and not what I’m looking for. I tried this today on a whim and I’m so glad I did. It glides on like a smooth, creamy, pigmented dream and is as close as I’ll ever get to that perfect Snow White red lip. It’s full coverage and pigmented enough that my pigmented lips are not an issue. I do feel that it’s very flattering on me and I’ve never been able to say that about red lipstick. I’m not getting the fuchsia color that others have mentioned at all. I love it and I’ll get a backup soon.

I bought this today on sale, out of a whim and I’m so glad I did. This shade Love Is On looks like a limited edition with really cute packaging. It almost reminds me of LE products from MAC.
Anyways, this lipstick is a blue based cream lipstick that makes your teeth look whiter compared to orange based lipsticks.
I’m surprised I actually liked it because I rarely like lipsticks from the drugstore anymore. I find most are are miss, rather than a hit.
This is like any other cream lipstick and it doesn’t have a lasting effect compared to matte lipsticks; but the colour of this product makes up for that. I don’t mind reapplying after eating a meal. So definitely for $6 CAD this colour is worth it.
Side note: this lipstick smells sweet, like peaches/fruit from the tube but not when after your apply it. So if you’re sensitive to scents you may not like it.

Love Is On was a limited edition release back in the holiday 2016 season. It must be something that has had a re-release (maybe for valentine’s Day?) Or been made more permanent, as it is still available – or at least it is in the UK, anyway. On me it is a apple red shade, with a creme finish. In the tube the shade looks like it has a blue undertone, but once applied the shade looks neutral – no noticeable cool or warm tones. This is one of those lipsticks where the resulting shade will look slightly different on everyone, depending on skin tone and your natural lip colour.
As this lipstick has a slightly glossy creme formula, it helps to keep my lips feel hydrated and flake free during cold weather and central heating, as the formula is buttery and light. Having a softer formula means that this product isn’t very long lasting, but the concept and colour makes up for this downside for me. The one thing which could be a deal-breaker for some is the fact that this lipstick has a fragrance to it; it has a fruity/floral scent, that is meant to resemble a perfume worn by Cleopatra.

I think this is a great looking red. Although I usually don’t like scented lipstick, this one is okay, kinda fruity. Yes, it’s on the cooler side, maybe that’s why it appeared fuchsia on some? It’s redder (that is to say less pink) than Cherries in the Snow. It’s darker than Certainly Red. It’s a bold color but easily sheered out/blotted. I like the package too, cute design with the little heart. If you like red or are looking for a good one, this is worth a try.

I have to say I don’t understand the bad reviews. This lipstick is absolutely beautiful on my neutral pale skin tone. It’s the perfect red, as simple as that. It’s not too cool-toned, and definitely not warm toned. If you apply only a sheer layer, I can see why some people say it’s fuchsia. You just need to apply more. When I layer it on (first layer with brush, blot and reapply) it turns into this dark-ish cherry red that looks absolutely stunning. It’s a statement lip if I’ve ever seen one. Every woman should have this lipstick in their collection.
It smells of strawberry shortcake and is the best shade of red I could find from Revlon-and I have them all, to say the least. I have a lipstick problem and Revlon SL is a large part of the cause. Needless to say, when I realized that it was a LE, I hauled as much as I could: now I have 5 backups and one that I currently use. I bought my first one in may and now it’s at 60% of its original size. My other reds are brighter or warmer and more suitable for summer but I keep coming back to this one because it’s just perfect.

So far I seem to be they only reviewer on here who likes this lipstick, it comes in a beautiful tube that’s black on the outside and has a shiny red sleeve on the inside and has love written in 6 different languages, the lipstick itself has kinda fruity/vanilla smell, that doesn’t offend me, the formulation is very smooth and applies easily and feels good on the lips and is hydrating also doesn’t settle into lines and wears a good 6 hours before a touch up, now let’s talk about the color, on me nc25 this shade is a beautiful blue based red, I do see where some people would say it’s fuchsia because it does pull some pink in it, but on me it still remains red or like a cherry red, either way I really like how it looks as I do appreciate having good red lipsticks in my collection when the holidays roll around but this lipstick could be worn for any occasion ???? I think it’s a great red and Revlon did a good job on this one.. definitely will repurchase

I have to agree with the previous reviewers. This was so hyped, but it comes off fuschia on my nw20, deep winter complexion. I so much prefer Revlon’s 5th Avenue Red (LE) & MAC VG I. Even the other Revlon reds are much better options. Nice campaign though.

I watched a video about this being a “universally flattering red” that works on everyone. As a redhead, I am on the never ending quest for the perfect red. THIS IS NOT IT. It is not even close to red, on me. It is a OBNOXIOUS FUSHIA. Yikes! I will say that is goes on very creamy, and is comfortable to wear. The quest continues…

This is a new color of lipstick in the regular Super Lustrous formula but with one very unpleasant addition – fragrance. It’s not that it’s so unpleasant; the smell is that of a vanilla-fruity-old fashioned perfumed lipstick, but I don’t want that on my lips. Worse still, it seems to be a hugely unstable fragrance. Two minutes later, it’s a thin, bare smell.
It feels great going on, but the color is the pits for me. In the tube it looks like a classic blue-based red lipstick, but one swipe brings you a terrible fuchsia. As I have skin that turns everything pink, starting at fuchsia is most unwelcome. It builds all the way up to the beautiful tube cool, but the smell and the chance of fuchsia… very disappointing. I wish they’d release more new colors (love the Pink Truffle in the Super Lustrous!), but this is just sad.
