The Fire & Ice shade looks quite nice on me and I love wearing it during the summer. On my skin tone it shows up as a dark pink that has a very red undertone and isn’t too bright yet isn’t subdued or muted either. It doesn’t show up as that orange on me for the most part.
Fire & Ice has a creamy or satin texture so it’s shiny but not sheer, glossy or gloopy in texture. It applies evenly and not patchy from what I could see.
I wouldn’t mind buying this shade again.

Ooooh. So.. delicious. Fire and ice is the type of colour that can take your look from 0 to 100 in a flash. The kind that smacks you in the face and screams “I’ve arrived…” – when walking down the street.
The kind that’s like a giant hug when you’re feeling blue. Yep. That’s what it is alright.
I’m a daily red lipstick wearer. Even on the school run or grocery shopping, date night with the husband, taking my son to the library and this colour will fit any occasion day or night. It can be worn heavily or as a stain if you’re not feeling brave. Both ways will provide a good colour payoff as this lipstick is so damn pigmented and creamy.
I wear mine for around 14 hours day. I apply heavily. Blot. Apply heavily again. And it’s there at the end of the day. I don’t even need to reapply. Maybe the edges sometimes after dinner.
The colour can seem a bit intimidating if you’re a nude girl. But hey if you’re afraid. You can always wear it under a nude to give your light pink or beige’s a punch of colour. Red lipsticks are very adaptable that way.
This shade has been in production since the 1950’s and I can see why. It has that gorgeous hue reminiscent of the actresses in the old technicolour movies.
Even my husband comments everytime I wear it. I like to wear different tones of red for different days of the week. Sometimes an orange based sometimes a more blue based. This is definitely an orange toned red on my NC35 skin.. can also seem to have coral undertones too sometimes. Depending if I wear it in Summer, in winter or anytime in between. I can see this lipstick looking more orange, pink or more tomato red depending on whether your have pink or yellow undertones in your skin.
I like to wear a rep lip liner underneath to prevent bleeding as it is cream based. I also find lip liner gives you a very polished look.
The packaging is ok. Quite chic and the price is very good. Revlon do very good lipsticks.
This lipstick can also double up as cream blush. Which I don’t do. As I prefer bronzing powder and a pop of powder blush on the apples. But if you’re a cream blush kinda girl you could use it for that purpose. Everyone loves a multitasker.
Overall yes. Love it. A real staple the cream texture is very flattering too. I love it all year round but especially in autumn and winter when your tan is fading and your face needs a brightner.

Well you have to be in the mood to wear a shade like this but if you are and if you dare it can just seem natural and classic. I wear it to work and I’m a housekeeper in a hospital. This is a bright bright pure true red a little orange a little blue. It makes your eyes bright and your skin glow. You need only mascara and a bit of blush. Very fifties retro. The formula is very creamy and will not dry out your lips. I usually apply heavily,blot, apply again and blot. The color lasts a long time but I reapply after eating or when needed through out the day. It is a commitment. You will get a reputation for wearing it but it will be favorable and if you dare and if it’s the red for you you will know it because it will just seem right.

I know this is a highly rated classic but it was two orange on me. It was very vibrant and had great pigment. Needs serious blotting because it is really creamy. Not for me but not bad if it works with your skin tone.

This is a very classic red lipstick. The advertising campaigns over the years have been wonderful, and Fire and Ice is such a wonderful name. In the tube this looks quite orange, but on my lips it’s more of a warm/neutral medium red. It’s definitely bright and needs to be blotted, reapplied, and blotted again. The texture is very creamy and feels great on my lips. Although this might be the red of all reds, I personally prefer Revlon’s Cherries in the Snow. It has a pinky undertone and looks better with my rosy skin. That said, Revlon’s Fire and Ice is a drug store classic, worth trying at least once, by everyone.

This is odd it looks orange. I have a pale pink skin tone (my Clinique foundation shade is Petal) I ordered this on line having read it was back. Like a lot of reviewers I remember seeing it in the centre pages of Cosmopolitan in the 80s worn by Jerry Hall and I had to buy it. It looks gorgeous on I can only repeat reviewers that say its an orange/blue red hybrid. Its iconic and makes me feel iconic. It picks me up it lifts my face. The only other red lippie I own is Reddy Heddy by Linda Rodin this does feel like an old fashioned lipstick on but the payoff for how it looks and makes one feel. “I’m ready for my close up…”

After reading the reviews here, I decided to get a tube of Fire and Ice for myself. I don’t know, but it’s not an orange red. It looks like a shocking pink red and I can’t wear it. I have a lot of Super Lustrous lipsticks that I can wear. This one I can’t.

The iconic fire and ice!!! What can i say…after 50 years this bright orange red is still a star. This is the staple shade you see on stewardess from the 80’s till now. Its the typical generic red suited women all over. Im NC35 for ref

I’ve wanted this for so long… But it’s only now, when Colgate toothpaste had the inspired idea to offer a free lipstick with the toothpaste, that I get to try it! I’d wanted it because, who can fail to be mesmerised by a lipstick shade which is this historic. To think, how many women have bought and enjoyed this beautiful colour since 1952! Having said that, I’m a high end snob and my go-to coral red is Guerlain rouge G in Gina. Revlon lipsticks are about £8 and although you can always get them in multi buys, invariably I am disappointed by drugstore makeup and wish I’d kept the money to put in the piggy bank for lavish makeup treats. Just this week I’ve bought and thrown away two drugstore concealers. (Collection yellow corrector and the ever popular maybelline under eye concealer, both binned after a couple of uses which left me disgusted with their performance.) So I say this as a hard to please critic….
This lipstick is glossy, goes on evenly and lasts well. The shade is very retro (naturally) and super flattering. It’s a warm red but not too orange, there is a subtle but authoritative true blue red that looms over it. It brightens up my face and makes me look younger. And it’s a real head turner! Men hooting, women giving you that threatening and challenging look as you walk by. Ha! I love reds like this, it’s those reactions that let me know it’s a classic red that does its job. If you’ve been on the fence as I was – get it! It’ll be around for another 50 years, colours like these don’t bend to changing fashion, they retain their power forever.
