This product has a lovely forumla which isn’t too smooth that it would smear and does not require a lipliner. I purchased this item in shade Ruby Red which has a tad of a berry undertone; it is not a true red. The packaging is spot on and the product does not touch the tube. This formula lasted all day with very few touch-ups required. For $1, I am very pleased with this lipstick.

I have the shade Party In The Buff and it’s a super gorgeous peachy nude. The color goes so well worn with any of the Too Faced Peach products. Better yet I found this at Dollar Tree for a buck. It’s best applied with tapping motions rather than swiping. If you swipe it on the lips it looks too light and chalky but if you dab it till you’re satisfied with the tint you can get a very pretty peach pink tone. I’d definitely repurchase this.

For a $3 lipstick, this stuff is pretty good, but not the best. I got Pink Minx and was surprised at how much I liked the color on me, considering I have cool-toned skin and this shade is more of a warm, yellow-toned pink. It feels a bit dry when applying — the stick is stiff, almost like the lip exfoliators — but I found it doesn’t transfer much and looks fairly matte while moisturizing nicely. I don’t think I’d repurchase, though, because I’m not a fan of the glitter in the formula and it does go on somewhat patchy.

I like all the elf lipsticks (really love the matte lip jumbo lip colors) – but I can say that this new moisturizing line (with the colors “party in the buff” etc..) is much different in formula compared to the old 2013 line from a few years ago (with the colors “in the nude”..). Reason I can compare the two – I ordered a lipstick (“in the nude”) from their old moisturizing line off Amazon because it’s not sold in stores anymore – and the quality of that compared to what they are pushing out now as “moisturizing” is MUCH DIFFERENT. The old formula for these were like a balm. They were that thick and moisturizing — to the point that the lipstick was so soft in tube that you could move it on it’s base (mine was a bit crooked). I do have a lipstick from ELF’s Velvet Matte lip line (Blushing Brown) and surprisingly – I find that lip line more moisturizing than these.
The ELF Day to Night lipstick duo has the same formula as the old moisturizing lipstick line – I bought 2 the other day – and THOSE are creamy and soft!!! Very different from this line. Highly recommend those.
I only own Ravishing Rose from this line, and on first application, I found it very drying. The Velvet Matte is more moisturizing, and even the Beautifully Bare are creamier (wore that yesterday). I wish they’d go back to the old formula. I would like to buy Orange Dream just because I want a cheap orange lipstick – so I will repurchase.

I picked up this cheap lipstick in search of a good pinkish-nude and a good stage red.
This takes a lot of work to build up to a good pigment. It’s a bit more of a tint. However, I can confirm it is extremely moisturizing, and I adore the hidden lip balms on the bottom. I got party in the buff, which was a horrendous shade of orange I threw out immediately, and Red Carpet, which was not well pigmented for what you would expect from a red, and the balm looks weird for Red Carpet. It looks like you’ve been drinking Hawaiian Fruit Punch, if worn alone. However, I love Pink Minx! It achieves a nice, subtle pink, and the balm is even more so, in addition to being extremely moisturizing.

PROS – It did feel very nice on the lips and moisturizing. CONS – the color wasn’t true to the package, it was a lot more orange on me than a true red. It was not pigmented at all and I couldn’t build it up to be as full as I wanted it to be. I didn’t mind the smell or packaging.

These products are not very pigmented but for me i personally like the small tent it gives your lips. It went on a little rough but once it was on it stayed and it didn’t got into the fine lines on my lip. Was not patchy which was nice. Overall I say it was pretty nice.

I don’t know about these – I feel pretty “meh” about them. ELF lip products lately are pretty underwhelming for me.
The colors I have are: Ravishing Rose (rosy brownish shade), Pink Minx (warm pink), and Flirty & Fabulous (fuchsia). They are very affordable at $3 each, even cheaper if you catch a sale.
All three shades are cream finishes with no shimmer. The pigmentation is about medium, I would say. The colors are pretty nice, I like them.
Something about these just doesn’t appeal to me though, the texture/consistency seems off. All three of mine feel very waxy and hard when applied, they aren’t very creamy or particularly smooth. Not sure why they call these moisturizing because they aren’t (for me). They are basically dry and matte on me.
They smell/taste sugary. Packaging is OK, twisting the tube isn’t the easiest, it seems to stick at times. There’s a little compartment of gloss/balm at the bottom which is cool.
I mean, they’re alright. I might buy more but I’m pretty “take it or leave it” about them.
EDIT 3/4/2017: I bought another one in the shade Wine Tour, a gorgeous deep berry wine color. This one is actually very creamy and moisturizing. It feels smooth and nice, but I would recommend a lip liner for this shade.
I’m guessing they were reformulated or maybe there’s quality control problems among batches. If all of them felt as nice as my Wine Tour one I would repurchase.

I am not crazy about E.L.F’s Studio Lipstick. I found the formula to be a bit slippery and oily without much pigmentation or coverage. It’s more like an amped up tinted lip balm than anything.

I mean it’s alright, I just feel it’s a bit greasy and fades quickly. personally I prefer ELF’s $1 lipstick..
