I think this is one of those shades that will look 5 different shades on 5 different women. Having said that, I also think this is one of those shades that you really have no idea what to expect how it is going to look like on you. I notice a candy-type/sweet smell when I first apply this, but that scent dissipates after a few minutes. Transfers like a mo-fo. And this is one of those lipsticks that can tend to make your teeth look yellow. Does not settle into lip lines for me, so that is appreciated. Not incredibly long-lasting (not that I expected a metallic lipstick to be). On me, this pulls quite orange, so again, I feel like this is a lipstick that no two women will really look ‘the same’ wearing. All in all application and wearability I have no major issues with.
Stays inside the lip lines just fine for me with no liner. It is a unique shade, and it makes my blue/grey eyes really ‘pop,’ as I expect this would make many eye shades ‘pop’. It’s a really unique shade, but has a few drawbacks and pluses, so it is not a ‘perfect’ lipstick. Still…very cool to check out, or test a santized tester the next time you are in Sephora. If you are worried it might be too sparkly for you (you can see little glittery pieces in it), for me, the sparkles are not really all that detectable once applied, just more of a sheen, but you can still see some sparkles. It can be a bit of a bolder shade, so probably not for the shy or those who don’t like to step out of their comfort box. But if you like trying new/different shades and would like a cool/different, fun metallic lip, this might be worth checking out.

Like the other reviewers, I am finding it so difficult to explain this shade. I am NC25, and I do not see any red when I put this on. No brown either. I don’t want to say coral/orange, since that is not right. It is a beautiful mix of a coppery, gold-flecked deep raspberry on me, but a very warm raspberry – it does not have any cool undertones on me at all.
For my skintone reference, MAC Viva Glam I & Dubonnet look awesome; Ruby Woo terrible.
KVD Lolita II liquid lipstick looks great; Lolita I terrible.
The little glitter flecks just add some dimension to the lipstick – they aren’t overpowering or really noticeable, they just add depth. It isn’t gritty either. I use UD Ozone to prep my lips, and this lipstick lasts all day.
I bought this without being able to swatch it, but usually if something looks good on Temptalia, it will look good on me. It might not look like the same color as it does in her swatches/photos, but it will work with my chemistry.
To date, my best description of this lipstick is: “Pure joy, with sparkles.” It just makes me happy.
If I were to find out it was being discontinued, I might actually buy a backup. That’s saying something!

This is more russet orange than russet brown. Orange in any form is my kryptonite. My light skin, olive eyes and medium brown hair seems to suck color out of lippies. Also, it’s grainy. If anyone knows of a sparkling brandy shade, please lmk? Yes, I know it is out of fashion, but I know what looks great on me!

Thin Lizzy is quite unique. I don’t get red at all from this. I get a warm bronzy color with the coolest sparks of pink. I really haven’t found another lipstick like it.
The sparks, because on me it’s not glitter, it looks like multidimensional sparks, really elevate the lipstick because it makes the perfect “add on”
I can top several different shades of lipsticks with this and it adds a really great pop.
I think this is a perfect shade for summer dotted over a neutral berry brown color.
The packaging however leaves something to be desired.
Like another reviewer mentioned, the top does not stay on very well. I actually kept this in its box in my purse for a while and then put it in one of those little lipstick cases.
The studded case is cool looking yes.
But the fact it comes off really easily in ones purse is not cool.
Not cool at all.
So be aware of loose fitting top.
Otherwise. Buy on!

I agree with the other review stated below. Before I would have completely ignored Thin Lizzy. It’s not the type of colour-tone that I normally go for (read: knock out bright out there!) but after swatching it I completely fell in love with it.
As the other review states Thin Lizzy is extremely multi-dimentional. It is neither a red, nor a rust, I don’t really know how to describe it. It has this beautiful glitter to it that is tame enough that I can get away to wearing it with work, but it also stands out enough to be noticed and complemented.
The only complaint I have about Thin Lizzy is the packaging. While the packaging itself is cute (a studded case), several times now I have opened my makeup bag to find that the lid has come off (and each time after using the lipstick I make sure to firmly put the lid on and seal it with a firm *click*). I would be really bummed to see my brand new lipstick all smashed up because of the lid sliding off, and even more super pissed off to see the lining of my purse destroyed for the same reasoning.

My obsession with the KVD Studded Kiss range is getting a tad out of hand. It’s the display at Sephora that I find myself gravitating toward the most these days, mostly because these lipsticks are nearly everything I could want in a lip color.
Thin Lizzy flew under my radar, mostly because I don’t tend to pay much mind to muted, warm reds. But I swatched it on a whim and wow wow wow. What a unique shade!
How might I describe this? It’s neither brown nor red, but rather treading on the very thin line between the two, with an interesting pink-undertoned shimmer running throughout. Talk about multi-dimensional! On my lips, it’s a coolish rust tone with high-impact shimmer. It’s what happens when Autumn hues veer away from matte finishes. In fact, the color and finish remind me of late-Autumn frosts, when microscopic ice crystals cover the rusty red leaves on the ground. It’s absolutely perfect. I never thought a shimmer shade would be ideal for Autumn, but this one definitely is.
This is the creamiest shade out of all the ones I’ve tried/owned so far. It’s got a high dose of shimmer, but it doesn’t feel gritty. The application is smooth and even with no tugging and loads of color payoff. It doesn’t feel drying at all – it’s actually lightly moisturizing without being gloopy or greasy.
So far, the staying power seems to be pretty grand, as has been the constant with the Studded Kiss range. If it’s anything like Poe (the shimmering navy shade), I imagine I can expect about 7 solid hours of wear before needing to reapply (not including minor touchups).
$21, which is middle-of-the-road for high end lipstick. Good, sturdy and attractive packaging.
I’m going to end up owning this whole damn line…
