BUY THIS LIPPIE IMMEDIATELY!
No joke. I buy Lovecraft for every single one of my girlfriends as part of a gift, even the ones that don’t wear makeup.
I originally went in to Sephora to try the liquid lipstick in the cult fave colour Lolita, but that did not work out in my favour. I have shaky hands and the applicator stick is far too long, so naturally I fvcked up and got that sh!t everywhere. Of course the formula is a no budge formula, so my heinous mistakes were not going away. Sorry Kat Von D, liquid lippie NO BUENO.
I then decided to play around with the Studded Kiss bullet lippie collection. LOVE AT FIRST SWIPE <3
WHAT I LOVE:
- Formula: has a velvet feel on your lips paired with a matte finish.
- Stays put!--- This sh!t stays in place!! Eat that burger. Chug that vodka soda. Live free knowing your lippie is looking fresh! **Mind you, if you suck face with someone, it'll probably come off; but let's be reasonable here, this is the real world and not fvcking Hogwarts.
-Does not crumble or flake off!- This is huge for me, I hate when matte lipstick crumbles/flakes off. Like where do you think you are going? Did I authorize your departure?? ---Thankfully, you will not be worrying about that problem with this lippie.
-***THE COLOUR***
Alright, listen up bitchachos, this is important: This. Colour. Is. MAGICAL!!! It is a perfect day time lippie to give you that mauve sexiness, but not too in your face that has your coworkers saying "whoa, you really caked it on today Karen". It is also perfect for night time, when you are looking to give some life to those lips.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
- Open the Sephora app or visit the store and buy the damn lippie! If you hate it, which I honestly doubt you will.. return it! You know damn well that Sephora has an amazing return policy, take advantage of it.

My everyday wear lipstick. Such a beautiful color!
Looks awesome on my NC15 skin, dark hair and dark eyes. Matches any look which I love.. the PERFECT Rose nude. The consistancy is great. The scent is nice too, a subtle vanilla scent. The only thing I would change is to make it more smudge proof. I recommend KVD studded kiss lippies to everyone!

I love this color. Its my lips but better shade for me. The formula is very creamy it stays on very well. I love the packaging too its so cool. I want to try some more colors.

I really love this color! The formula could be better, as this line tends to skip on application, and be very drying.. I definitely don’t reach for this formula as much as my MAC or Urban Decay lippies. I rate this a 3.5, but since I love the shade, I rounded up to a 4!…I can make it work if I use a good balm underneath and a gloss, but wish it could stand on its own without having to do tricks to “make it work”.. I have a few shades from this line, but won’t repurchase due to the formula, especially when there are so many other superior products that glide on easily.

Cool toned mauve pink with a greyish undertone. Even coverage in one swipe. A beautiful shade, but looks like a corpse on my very fair golden undertone. And its one of the more drying ones, so it makes lips look puckery and wrinkly (better ones are Cathedral, Lolitta 2, and Bachelorette IMO). The tube was stiff and hard to wind up.

Lovecraft is a matte mauve-pink nude and is great for those of use who are looking for a cool-neutral type of lipstick. The color is perfect and the matte formula means it stays well. This particular tube seems a bit dryer than normal, which is why I always have to exfoliate my lips before using it. I do have many mattes from the studded kiss lipstick line, which is why I think I may just have the one funny tube. The packaging itself is very attractive, but it sometimes has trouble clicking shut, which can be an issue when traveling in particular. It is a little pricey at $21, but it is one of the best lipsticks I have. I intend to repurchase this shade whenever I run out of my current tube.

This is a beautiful mauve matte lipstick in a super cool, black, studded packaging.
It goes on easily and looks pretty, but this lipstick is very drying, even when your lips are exfoliated and hydrated. Because it’s a matte, it cannot be touched up or it will get cakey, so you have to remove it and start over.
Unfortunately and unwisely, I bought three different shades of KVD Studded Kiss lipstick at the same time. I find them uncomfortable to wear and will not be buying anymore.

This was my 3rd KVD Studded Kiss lipstick purchase. I made the mistake of purchasing 3, untested, because I love her liquid lipsticks so well (and now I love her lip liners just as much!!). Lovecraft is described on the Sephora site as ‘matte mauve pink nude’ and yes, that is pretty accurate. This is not as drying as some matte lipsticks, but this is a little patchy when applying, and I need to go over and over, and especially in certain areas where this ‘skips’. Wear-time is excellent, and does not turn gummy or gunky, stays pretty true to color as the day wears on. I think the cool packaging is what really draw me in to these. But I am pretty much over the KVD Studded lipstick line. Again, this is the 3rd Studded lipstick, and I am just not that impressed. This is nice enough and I will still use this, but I won’t repurchase any more of the Studded lipsticks. I feel like this formula needs improving. Not the worst lipstick, but not the greatest. I would not recommend. To be honest, I guess maybe I expected more. I will stick with her liquid lipsticks and her lip liners. But these Studded lipsticks, while cool packaging and decent enough wear times, just are too inconsistent for me. A lipstick of this price point I kind of expect to apply better, not so patchy. This also kind of feels like it is ‘sitting’ on your lips, so not the most comfortable lipstick. But it does last a good amount of time. Meh. Next!!
