I’m a fan of Kat von D lipsticks, however this lipstick might be the exception. It is described as a matte deep raspberry, but mine did not look like a matte or a raspberry. It looks like a normal lipstick and the color looks more like a bright fuchsia. If that’s your color, then it’s perfect for you. It looked terrible on me. Another issue I had was the longevity of the lipstick: it just did not stay on my lips long. One of the things I do like about the product is the cool tube it comes in. Other than that I will stick to my other Kat von D products.

Kat has wonderful highly pigmented colors. Nice matte coverage that only takes one coat to obtain true color. Bauhaus is a vibrant raspberry/magenta. It has hints of blue but is very wearable even if you have strong yellow undertones like myself. It reminds me a little of the fashion fair colors from the 90’s that my mom used to wear but updated.
I would purchase again except for these lipsticks wear off too easily after only 2-3 hours, even if I haven’t eaten. I’m not sure if this could be cured with a lip primer but I certaintly use a clear lip liner to help keep it in place but it only helps a little. The studded packaging is pretty bad ass but as others have stated the cap is pretty loose and will come off in your bag if you’re not careful. The other thing I noticed is the bullet is kinda undersized compared to many other brands. A sephora SA pointed it out to me, otherwise I would have never noticed because the packaging looks full size.
I like to set my lipstick and forget it… I can’t quite do that with this product.

This is my second Kat Von D lipstick and I love it. The color is a beautiful, vivid matte raspberry shade that looks almost fuchsia shade. It applies pretty evenly on me and it’s a great opaque color. For a matte it feels pretty good, too, with no tug. It wears pretty well, too, and fades very well. One morning I applied it and had a latte, ate a bowl of cereal and did some housework and got sweaty and the color remained vivid and even. (I also have Wolvesmouth, and I think Bauhau5 wears much better.) It has a slight vanilla scent when I first opened it which is not my ideal, but it’s subtle and fades fast. My main gripe is the packaging. While the studded case is cool, the lid doesn’t click on that tightly. For $21 I’d think it should snap shut firmly and stay closed, but the lid popped off in my purse. (Fortunately I had it in a side pocket so no damage was done, but still.) For the cost I’d say it should be better packaging, or they should knock the price down. I’ve got $3 lipsticks I’ve found at Walgreens that are more secure. This just gets high points for being such a gorgeous, bright matte hue that feels comfy on the lips (for a matte … if you want super-hydrating, go for a balm instead).
