A Go Go Studded Kiss lipstick is a bright orange shade, with what the brand describes as a matte finish. When I call the shade ‘bright’, I mean just this side of florescent [if you like this shade but want something even more I’M HERE, the brand’s Everlasting liquid lipstick in the same shade looks a little bit more intense, due to the drier formula]. KvD’s Malice shade is similar to this, but A Go Go has less red in & is a bit brighter. The brand’s Everlasting Liner range carries an A Go Go liner, which matches the shade perfectly.
Yep; there are lots of lower-cost orange lipstick shades out there, but what you’re paying for here is the formula. Id describe the finish as being more satin than matte [nearly matte, with a slight bit of slip] – it is the perfect balance between being a slippy-and-weaker creme and a bit-too-dry matte finish. I think it applies easily in one swipe and sets very quickly, so you are getting the strong colour, [almost] traditional matte finish with good pigmentation & staying power, minus the tight & drying feeling you can get from a fully matte lipstick. As a partway-to-creme formula you get a more comfortable & slightly-moisturized feeling, minus most of the slip and weaker staying power. I prefer the brand’s old lipstick tube style with the clear bottom and silver rose pattern, but their current one [all black, with a ‘studded’ pattern] is perfectly serviceable and is secure.

I got this off Sephora AU on their clearance sale. Orange with red undertones. It goes on my lips very much like MAC Morange but I can work with this better. I’m not sure exactly why but A Go Go is a tad more red and matte (as opposed to the amplified formula from MAC). I enjoy wearing this but it’s not my best orange (my best would be more red).
If your concern is dry lips, I’d say skip the studded kiss lipstick. However, if you love the colour, you can still make it work. This is nowhere near MAC retro matte or Illamasqua matte dry, and colour glides on pretty easily. You’ll need to pop on a balm before this.

I picked this up on clearance at Sephora when they were switching to the studded kiss lipsticks and boy am I happy I did. This is traffic cone orange in the best possible way. Bight, fun, and I love the way it works with my light complexion and dark hair. This stuff stays on through pretty much anything (like North Dakota snow storm sort of anything) and isn’t terribly drying. I do suggest a little bit of lip treatment however, especially if you have lips prone to dryness.

This lipstick is high pigmented and not sheer at all. However, it’s hard to get off and I can’t kiss my boyfriend with it on. It’d drying and it dries out my lips very easily even with a lip balm. I just really like the color despite the drying.
The price online is $21 but I got mine at TJ Maxx for $7 because of repackaging. I would not re-buy this due to the price online.
The packaging is cute (it’s the old packaging) with the filigree and her name stamped on it.

I tried this in the lip gloss, didn’t sit well on my lips and it ended up drying up and looking dry and patchy.
Love the colour though so I’ll have to give the lipstick a try!

I actually was about to buy a different lipstick & swapped it with Kat’s lipstick at the very last minute! I love this color. Im more on the tan side, so the color pops. I gave it 4 because I really wish it was matte, but it’s a great formula & amazing texture. Plus I really like the packaging.
It’s just too bad that some reviews dont want to like the product because of who’s name is on it. More power to you Miss Kat & to your growing makeup empire.

Went in looking for an orange colored lipstick came out with this, I do love the color it definitely pops, the only reason I give it a three is because I dislike the texture, its neither matte nor creamy I can’t really explain it, and I find that even though the color is there it a little sheer and comes right off it doesnt really last long on me I feel like I have to constantly be reapplying it. I now use MACs So Chaud as a base then apply this over to make it last longer seems to work.

Oh, I wanted to dislike this lipstick because I really dislike Kat Von D, at least the way she comes across on TV. However, this is a great shade with great texture. It’s orangy red (or reddish orange) and looks great with my olive skin and black hair. The texture is not as matte as some of the other shades in the collection, it’s actually on the creamy side, and it stayed on for everal hours-even through a snack and wine! I think it’ll be a seasonless favorite. So much for my preconceived notions.

I went to Sephora looking for an on-trend orange lipstick and this was recommended. It’s definitely an orangey-red, and it looks really good on my super pale skin. I was worried orange lipstick would look garish on me, but this actually looks really good! I usually wear gloss and balm a lot more than lipstick, so I can’t say how it compares to other lipsticks. But it stayed in place for the evening, and my lips only felt a little dry at the end of the night. No more drying than other lipsticks I’ve used. I did not expect to buy a Kat Von D product, as I’ve never watched her show since I’m not interested in tattoos, but I was really pleasantly surprised and I would definitely recommend this product! I also really like the packaging.

I tried my best not to buy this product just because I hate Kat Von D as a person. But this product is one of a kind!
I was looking for an orange lipstick for the fun of it and came across this which is the only orange lipstick in compared to MAC’s “morange” which i passed because I was picking things up from Seporha anyways.
It is MATTE so I pair it with gloss. It is also semi long wearing. But it is ultra buildable and looks coral alot of the time rather than orange. I love it for summer looks.
