After searching high and low for a saturated, medium rich shade I would describe as “autumn rose” I found it in Coral Sinner. This is a great lipstick formula – matte, but not prickly or dragging feeling on my lips, creamy, expensive-looking coverage (which the Revlon HD did not have – it lacked body and oomph, and I just threw it away rather than be bothered ever single time I used it). The color is a slightly muted, slightly warmed up rosy coral – not an orangey coral, nor a pinky coral, just soft, rich, gives a lift to my skin, and reads as a true color, not as a washed out attempt at color (HD, I’m talking to you). This lipstick has a very faint clean vanilla scent similar to Mac lipsticks, but no discernible taste or sweetness – for this I am thrilled! I also picked up Rust Sinner and will review that shortly Overall, I find the range to be broad, and many of the colors very elegantly nuanced. I will repurchase this color if I run out or lose it, and look forward to exploring more of the Sinner range.

I love this lipstick with all my heart. I own all of the Lipstick Queen Sinners, and this is my favorite pink. Whereas Pink Sinner is a cool bluey light-medium pink, Coral Sinner is a lush, warm, vivid petal pink. I look best in neutral colors, neither too blue nor too orange, so I was wary about this color and surprised that on my light olive skin, it is decidedly pink, not peach or apricot or even “coral” as I know it. Looks gorgeous with NARS Taos blush. The photo above makes it look more nude than it appears in natural light; in real life it’s more vivid. If you like the idea of a nude lipstick with some “pop,” this is a great option. I’m also a huge fan of the Sinner texture: matte but non-drying. Really. Every other line of matte lipsticks has dried my lips out terribly, but the LQ Sinners lock in moisture so I can wear them all day.

While I was looking at this with a lovely SA, who happened to walk up to me? Poppy King herself. Not too much pressure! I am a huge fan of Nude Sinner, but this shade, not so much. It is very orange on me–like the color of a pumpkin. It looked just awful on me. Normally, when I don’t like a lipstick, I live with it until it wears off but hers have such amazing staying power, I had to wipe it off.

This is perfect lipstick! This is my HG! I have been looking for a lipstick like this my whole life. as you can see I am more than just a little excited over this color, I want all the colors now. I have a lot of pigment to my lips and not in a color I like, I have a hard time keeping a color on because most are too sheer and take on my natural lip color, not this baby, I am also impressed by it’s staying power. going on 5 hours and a bowl of cereal. I love love love everything about this color. Now I need a backup!

Wow, this stuff. $18.00 at Barney’s. This comes in a round, deep indigo-black, matte, metal tube. The tube is in a bubble pack sort of package with funky designs and Poppy’s picture and story on the back. It has no smell or taste. Somehow, Poppy managed to create a matte finish lipstick that does not feel terribly dry on the lips, and does not tug as you apply it. It feels like a creamy lipstick on the lips — not glossy or buttery mind you. It is not terribly moisturizing, but you would not be buying a matte lippie for that, anyhow. That being said, there does not seem to be a lot of heavy wax in this formula, so it feels light on the lips. Lasting time is good, due to the high pigmentation. Now for the color: Not a true coral by any means, but I knew that going into this purchase. It is a shade devoid of blue. It is a medium, salmon- brown, that could read as a nude shade on deeper skin tones. It is more pink than terra cotta, more subdued than russet, less deep than bittersweet. It is a very complex shade that has me captivated. There is no shimmer in this. Note: if you want a more sheer, more glossy version of this color, you would need Saint Coral.
