Tolede is a warm MLBB rosewood shade which pulls towards terracotta on me (AAB/NC25). Nice smooth creamy formula with excellent coverage with one swipe. Goes great with a warm neutrals face.

Receive this as a sample.
I was actually pleasantly surprised. Lipsticks that are too warm usually don’t suit me, but this one is a good balance for me. It seems to look flattering on my Nc20 skin, although I’m not used to wearing this type of color. I’d describe it as a warm rose/coral that is very wearable and that isn’t too bright. I like it!

I recieved a mini of this from Sephora, it isn’t the type of color I have any experience wearing. It is a very warm, brown-pink. It’s actually a very lovely formula – smooth and creamy but doesn’t get on my teeth or gather in lip lines. Good adhesion and opacity.
I’ve included a picture of me wearing it (dark hair), I’m a light-yellow-cool-olive NC20/C2 type person.
The only reason I won’t repurchase is the price but I do plan on purchasing a more affordable dupe.

I have to add my agreement to the previous reviewer. “Tolede” is warm and orange on my very pale, olive / yellow skintone. I was surprised and disappointed by the colour as I thought it would be a slam-dunk MLBB, based on reviews I read. I get no pink out of “Tolede.”
Since “Dolce Vita” has been somewhat compared to “Tolede” here as a MLBB shade, I will mention that on my lips “Dolce Vita” is a classic beautiful shade that I will always have in my stash, that is a touch brighter than MLBB, but I dab on to give a natural reddish flush.

I see I’m one of the lone dissenters on this one. I’m normally a fan of Nars lipsticks but this color is disappointingly a bit too orange on me. Definitely not a MLBB lippie as it looks a bit unnatural on my very fair, cool toned skin. I got a mini of this and figured it’d be perfect to have in my purse and while I like the packaging, there’s no way I’d want to wear this particular color. The formula itself is okay but I do prefer the look and feel of Nars Audacious Lipstick to this one (both are satin finish).

I have to add to the reviews here. Tolede ran so under the NARS radar. It is one of those lippies you don’t hear a lot about, but it is lovely. NARS describes Tolede as a “pink rose” which is about accurate. It is warm toned but not overwhelming on cooler complexions. If you put on Dolce Vita and thought, “that’s it?”, then try Tolede. Same MLBB type of feel but this will actually put some color on your lips. I bought it in summer and have not used it in cooler months yet, but it has become my summer MLBB shade.
It is warmer than Tom Ford’s Indian Rose (more plum than Tolede) and MAC Cream in Your Coffee (more muted pink & fall feeling than Tolede), a bit warmer & more brown toned than the more mauve feeling NYX Root Beer Float. On my NW20, deep winter skin, almost black brown hair (3n) and brown/hazel eyes, it is one of my favorite summer MLBB shades.
UPDATE FALL 2019: This feels too warm for me in the fall. It definitely feels more like a summer MLBB shade to me. And I will be happy to play with it again in the spring/summer when I start craving warmer tones again.

Absolutely gorgeous on my fair skin (black-brown hair and brown eyes). Makes my face just glow. Def a MLBB. I have never come across a lip color that did this for me — and I have tons of neutrals and nudes. I got this as a Sephora sample and immediately went out and bought the full size. Totally can recommend!

Not much else to say about this lipstick that other reviewers haven’t — it’s a beautiful MLBB color that has a wonderful formula and really sleek packaging. I like it 100000x better than Dolce Vita, which does not show up on me at all, but I love the NARS lipstick formula because it’s got a great finish (like a MAC cremesheen if you’re familiar with that), stays on for a reasonable amount of time, and doesn’t dry out my lips. I’m giving it five stars, but you know there are dupes around for such a universal color. If you want to splurge on an everyday goes-with-everything lipstick, you could do a lot worse than Tolede.

This is a really lovely mlbb color that brightens up my NC20 complexion. I guess it wil work for many skintones, light to deep.
But….I won’t buy it again because I found a great drugstore dupe: maybelline color sensational lipstick in 625 iced Caramel. The latter looks a tiny bit lighter in the tube, but on my lips there’s no difference. I’ve even worn them together to work a few times (left side Tolede, right side Caramel LOL the things you do for makeup….) to see how they hold up. Same!
One con: the maybelline one has a sweet vanilla scent (fortunately not as nasty as l’ oreal lipsticks so I don’t mind very much). The nars seems to be fragrance free.

I wear this just about every day! It’s the perfect lipstick to keep in my bag for when my lips need some color but I don’t feel like an actual color and don’t have time for liner or a brush. I wear Mont Blanc in the Sheer Glow and Terra Nouve in the tinted moisturizer. This is a pinky brown on me and deepens my lip color and livens up my face. You can put it on without a mirror and blend with a finger without worrying about it. I can wear this without balm and it gives a bit of moisture. Applys evenly and color can be built up.
If this ever gets discontinued I’ll buy up the rest at Nordstrom so I never run out! It’s expensive for lipstick but worth it to me!
