First off, this is definitely a splurge lippie, but worth every single penny.
I bought this when I had a 20% off at Sephora to soften the blow of the full price.
1. Awesome baby pink color. Highly pigmented. With a lip brush this tube will last forever!
2. The packaging is sheer luxe. I love the look of the bullet case. Screams “luxury”. I always get asked in the bathroom what lippie this is when I’m reapply this lippie. “lippie envy”
3. Applies like “buttah”. Super smooth no drag. Does not dry out my lips at all.
Basically run and get this lippie. I plan on purchasing more from the rouge volupte line ( when sephora has another 20% off)

I just purchased my first YSL lipstick in this color (Lingerie Pink). My first impression is that of which countless others have already stated, so I’ll add to the echo chamber.
What I love about this lipstick:
1. Packaging, of course.
2. Consistency of the product. It glides on like butter which I adore.
3. Pigmentation. Love that a little goes a long way. Love the color “Lingerie Pink”
What I don’t like:
The wear time for the price point. For the price point, I’m not very impressed with this formula. My Nyx lipsticks wear longer for a lot less money and still are very good moisture-wise.
If YSL could somehow tweak the formula to last longer, this would be my HG lipstick. As of right now, I’m still up in the air on whether I would repurchase or not. I’m going to continue wear tests including pairing it with a lipliner to extend the life and will update my review if I change my mind.

Just bought my second tube. It lasted me for over 5 years and I was digging to get to the bottom for more. Finally caved and bought another tube.
I am VERY pale with pink undertones and with dark brown hair and almost black eyes. So I thought this lipstick would wash me out, but I have fairly pigmented lips so it actually makes the lipstick a nice light pink that actually covers the redness of my lips. Yay!
It’s outrageously expensive for sure… BUT there is something to be said for for the feeling of taking this gorgeous glamorous lipstick out, and putting it on your lips (it’s like butter!) And I kinda feel like a movie star for a few minutes so hey WHY NOT, RIGHT? I had Beige Ultimate? and it wore off on me after about 8 minutes, but this one stays on for a few hours and leaves a pretty stain once it’s gone. This is a keeper. LOVE.
EDIT: Just found out that it’s been discontinued! OH NO!!! If you know of any similar lippies please DM me!! SOB SOB SOB

I think the reason for the high ratings is all the hype, and the beautiful case. The formula itself really isn’t that great at all. It shows every single dry particle on your lips, and shows every little line.. Even lines you can’t see otherwise with any other lipstick! To wear this, I have to scrub my lips lightly with a toothbrush to make sure its perfectly smooth, apply a lip balm, and then tap the lipstick on with my finger . If you use straight from the tube it looks thick and pastely to me (not flattering) if applied this way it looks very pretty and is a beautiful shade of pink. But seriously who has time to do that every time they apply? It’s not something I can just apply at work or on the go. It also brings out any slight yellow in your teeth and I have pretty white teeth! Beautiful case, and nice color if you have perfectly smooth lips but I don’t think the formula warrants the steep price at all. It’s a matte cream formula that shows every line :/ I wanted to love this, but wouldn’t repurchase. For reference my skin tone is NC30. You have to apply with finger tip lightly or it will make you look washed out completely.

This is my favorite lipstick of all time, now my review might be a little too subjective due to that but it is really a beautiful, beautiful lipstick. It might be harder to pull off for shades above nc 35 i would say tho. The color is a milky, pale rosy, baby pink but is not harsh as some baby pink shades can be. It has a soft vintage look to it although it is pretty much a bright color. Texture is divine, soft creamy and highly pigmented, a little goes a long way with the rouge voluptes. It applies very easy and you need just a little product on the lips for opaqueness, if you do put too much tho it can and will look bad just because the texture is so creamy, you lips might look like whip cream with this shade! Dont put too much, you only need a small amount anyway. Personally i adore it and i will forever repurchase it.

Beautiful color just not for me. This pulled too pastel on me and looked bad with the creamy consistency. I wanted to love this shade but I had to return it. Beautiful packaging too

This is Rougue Volupte #7 for reference.
Reference point: Tan skin, NARS Barcelona/Syracuse, MAC 35ish, Armani #7.
This lipstick is a GEM… I can’t believe how beautiful it is. I’ve seen people compare it to MAC St Germain and Snob but in my opinion neither of these compare to Lingerie Pink. On me, the MAC lipstick lack the sophistication and subtlety YSL has – in fact they look rather garish and cheap.
The texture is heavenly – one of my favorite lipstick formulas (along with Tom Ford). Beats Chanel and other high end brands by a long shot. By far, one of the most moisturizing lipsticks in the market. My lips actually look and feel better after wearing this – moisturized! It glides on easily and smoothly without having to prime my lips with chapstick before.
I would describe the color as a pale pink. It goes on opaque and the finish is the perfect in between of matte and glossy. I haven’t felt the need to apply lipgloss over it because I find the big of gloss the lipstick leaves enough. It looks equally lovely with a smokey eye or a simple daytime eye.
I can understand how it would wash out certain people, especially pale skin. I have platinum blonde hair and tan skin, and on me it brings out a glow in my complexion and makes my teeth look whiter.
Plus for the packaging – it’s beautiful.
Try it out at the YSL counter. 🙂

I’m a big fan of YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, and Lingerie Pink is the perfect innocent, light pink. It glides on with ease (looks even better over lip balm) and feels both sophisticated and light. I love the rich pigmentation of these lipsticks. What you see in the tube is what you get on your lips. It’s void of any tacky frost/shimmer/glitter garbage, making it more luxe. Hands-down my favorite pink. And the gorgeous case is just a fabulous bonus.

This is my favorite baby pink lipstick. It is very creamy, smooth, and opaque in color. It is very pigmented, i can get full color by just dabbing a little on my lips. the smell is wonderful, it’s like guava and mango. many people complain about the lasting power but I think its average and I like how it leaves a stain on my lips after it fades. The color is actually very wearable because its not too cool toned. It’s just a creamy baby pink, no frost, no over the top barbie look. very pretty! i’m on my second tube.

This is my new favorite lipstick brand and color! I have bought all the pinks and reds from the rouge volupte collection. I am now on my second tube of “Lingerie Pink” i am a bleach and regular blonde mix, so the pink lipstick ties my whole look together! I am truly obsessed. Its a little bit of a wet texture so your lips wont get dry, but this is not a LONG lasting lipstick. You will have to reapply after coffee or eating
