Despite all my self-imposed limitations, I always love buying lipstick. I just do. “I Amaze” is an AMAZING burnt-orange-red that makes me think of brisk air, cinnamon candles, PSLs, and autumn. I love this shade, it stood out to me from the rest and I wouldn’t mind picking up a few others!
This is a liquid lipstick that is more gel-like than creamy, which I surprisingly enjoy. This is one of those textures that FEELS like a summer product due to its lightness and consistency, but I can imagine this formulation being worn all year round. From the L’Oreal website: “The no makeup feel of a stain combined with the color impact of a liquid lipstick.” The way this lipcolor applies is highly reminiscent of the Lip Caresse line and even sports the same style applicator — a pointed loop shape. Definitely allows for precise application. Consistency-wise, it FEELS hydrating upon application, but whether it does hydrate is contestable! It dries to a matte.
I paired this with my Milani Spice lipliner and wore it out for a whole day: there was no feathering, the color stays exactly where you put it. Transfer is minimal when drinking and eating. I also love the smoked glass looking tube (it’s plastic) with matte handle and gold accents. It looks expensive, but it was only $10!
