So my mom bought me a Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo lipstick shade 216 Lettre back in SG. When I saw it for the first time, well packaging wise It’s good. So then I tried it on my lips and I completely fell in love with the color. But the problem is, you can easily wipe off this lipstick away…
If you’re more into matte lipstick, well I think this product is not what you’re looking for. And I’m not gonna buy this lipstick ever again because It’s expensive.

Love the color but…….stays on for a minute, feels like nothing and costs an arm and a leg.

I love this lipcolor. I am NW15, and 202 in Conte is the most beautiful and natural pink. It is the perfect shade and texture for nearly any look. It makes the face look finished and elegant, but not overly done. It feels so soft and buttery, and is lightly perfumed. It is also easy to put on without a mirror.
The longevity isn’t the greatest, but it also isn’t as poor as I initially expected when I felt the texture.
I will certainly repurchase it when I finish.

I saw the Kiera Knightly ad on the back of a magazine and loved the colour she was wearing. After searching the internet I found that the the colour number is 214 – Message. Reviews were good overall and I’ve always loved Chanel so I headed to my nearest Hudsons Bay store and picked one up. The texture is great, the colour is beautiful and it is relatively long-wearing. The only issue is price. In Canada, it costs $45 and with the HST in Ontario at 13%, it came in at slightly more than $50. That’s the only thing that would stop me from buying it again…

Beautiful lipstick color, with remarkable staying power. The only reason I would not buy this again is the $37 price tag.

This is one of the better formulas Chanel has come up with, as it’s the only one that doesn’t dry out my lips something fierce.
I bought the shade 202 Conte, $47 CAD + 13% tax (so a pretty hefty price!), and it looks nothing like the description I had found all over the Internet (a baby pink with shimmer). It’s a very muted nude pink on me, very sheer/translucent, almost a MLBB shade that’s perfect for work. I wouldn’t wear it on a night out because you can barely see it in artificial light, I can barely see it in daylight if it wasn’t for the sheen. I see no shimmer at all.
It feels great and luxurious while applying and for a few minutes afterwards. It’s glossy for about 30 minutes, then it fades. Unfortunately, this shade on me fades to almost nothing, you can still see some “glow” especially around the edges of my lips, but otherwise it looks like I’m not wearing any lipstick.
Because it doesn’t last long, you need to reapply pretty often, which means you’ll run out of product sooner than with other lipsticks.
It has the typical subtle Chanel scent.
The shade range is ok, I didn’t see another shade *I* would like but there’s something for everybody out there.
It’s a nice product for a very subtle lip look (at least, this shade. I haven’t tried any other). It doesn’t dry out my lips too much, but at the price I paid for it, I would have expected a much better color payoff and for it to last much longer.
Once again, I seem to have much better luck with drugstore lip products than high end. When will I learn?

How could you not walk into the shop and ask about this lipstick after seeing Keira Knightley on their poster, with a divine shade of red on her lips? I didn’t pick the red in the end — I have more red lipsticks than I know what to do with — but out of the seven gorgeous shades I chose 216, Lettre. It’s a perfect MLBB rosewood shade that evens out my pigmented lips, and wears like an absolute dream. The formula is the consistency of creamy butter, while delivering an astonishing amount of pigment, and gives a HD shine to the lips. It’s not wet-glossy, but healthy kissable glossy. I’m very, very particular about the moisture in lipsticks because my lips dry out so often, and I’m always looking for a lippie that doesn’t require balm beforehand. This is it. Very high quality, very Chanel. It comes in a sleek pen packaging that you might mistake for an eyeliner at first, and the product is clicked out by swiveling the bottom. But beware — because the product is so buttery smooth, it’s hard to get back into the tube if you swivel out too much at once. My advice? Swivel out just what you need. Another thing to look out for is that because it’s so moisturising, darker colours may streak a little upon application. But it’s fine — just blot a bit and you’re good to go. I also tried Histoire and Message (Keira Knightley’s shade), both are beautiful reds, with Message being a little cooler and subtle and Histoire a gorgeous bombshell scarlet.
