I have this in Berry. It’s a color that could work on any skin tone from the lightest to the darkest depending on how you apply. For reference I am MAC NC45 / Bobbi Brown Cool Golden / Nars Sheer Glow Cadiz. This goes on very watery and then quickly dries down. As it’s an ink and matte you either need to line before or after. My favorite way of wearing this is to put it on my bottom lip, blot and then smudge to the exterior with my fingers. I reapply then on the outer corners and smudge in. Wear time is about 4 hours and it does go into more of stain after lunch. You need to moisturize lips before and I will sometimes use a matte lip balm (Nuxe) if I feel my lips are dry. There are other berry colors out there so I probably will not repurchase. I did receive a sample of True Red and that was very nice. I think if you are lucky enough to find your version of a “nude” color it could be a good every day staple.

I have this in 174 Melancholia. LE Winter 2018
Its a vampy burgundy ox blood red!. I love h a darker red lip like Mac Diva so i picked this up. I believe this is a 2nd release after the initial one. The top of the cap isnt gold, its black.
The texture is liquid-y and creamy. Going on very watery then drying down. Though it dries down a bit slow. I needed to do a couple layers for an opaque color. This does transfer but its a lot more comfy than other liquid lipsticks. It isnt too drying but i can still feel something on my lips. Its there but it isnt uncomfortable whatsoever. The applicator is like a spatula and flat on both sides. It kind of squares off into a point which makes it easy to use and draw on the lips. No liner is needed. One of my favorite thing about this ink formula is that it is super easy to touch up if it ever fades. The center of my lips usually dissapear first and just a couple swipes it looks like i just freshly put on the lipstick. It stays a satin matte through the whole time its on, very beautiful and hydrated but not glossy. It looks creamy and just delicious!
I wore this for 3 hours now with eating greasy chinese food and orange slices. It has faded so gracefully it looks like a nice rosey stain that is still dark enough to look like i have lipstick on. After 5 hours i have a beautiful rosey tint to my lips and its not patchy or streaky aslong as i press my lips together and blend them. I am very very impress. After experimenting with this fading stained lip, i ive been dabing a little bit onto the center of my lips and blend it out with my fingers for a blurred out affect. i sometimes put a glossy lip balm to add some shine and It looks like a popsicle stained lip! I would def repurchase this because its so versatile but maybe in another shade like 154, i think 174 is LE.
– edit september 2019, i got a deluxe sample of 152 Choquant and i must say ive been really enjoying it for that popsicle lip stain type of look. It is a warmer red but not orange, i would say more a traditional bright blue toned pinky red like Mac Russian red. i only dot this in the center of the lips and blend it out with my fingers. it reminds me of a strawberry popsicle stained lips! This color looks great on asian skintone, i am light neutral to olive and i love it to give my face some life. Still love 174 Melancholia and would repurchase if i could but its LE.

I absolutely love this lip colour. I have bought many luxury lipsticks in my time, and this is by far the best. So far I only have one colour – Amoureux – but I am going to buy more today. Amoureux is my perfect MLBB colour. It looks sleek and sophisticated for work, and yet natural for weekends, just smoothed in a little more. The packaging is beautiful and easy to carry around, and I love the frosted glass effect. I especially like the fact that it is small – even though it is expensive! – as I have taken to carrying it around with me. The colour does not last as long as I would like – a couple of hours, less if drinking or eating, but it fades evenly and naturally, which has been an issue with other recent expensive purchases. I am prepared to keep buying it, because of the colour, the ease of application, the lack of stickiness and the lovely packaging. Like one of the other reviewers, I see myself ditching all my other lip products and just keeping this in my bag.

I just bought this lovely lipstick liquid in #162. It is smooth and moist on my lip. And it also long lasting lip color. I’m very glad to purchase this no doubt is an expensive lipstick but its done a good job.

Bought this in the lightest shade ‘Amoueux’…Its quite a garish pink considering its supposed to be MLBB. I like the application and it doesnt settle too matte but – its overpriced and the range of colours are teeny. I am sending this back

Edit @ 4Aug2017- I still stand by my rave reviews. Got my 4th Ink today – #144 Vivant. Gorgeous colour on my. When on my lips, I look absolutely bright and cheery. Vivant is definitely my favourite of the lot. I’ll buy in dozens and stock up if they should ever discontinue Rouge Ink!

In two months, I bought 3 of these Rouge Ink – 142 Creatif, 148 Libere, 152 Choquant.
142 Creatif is my first foray into liquid lipsticks. In between, I’ve tried the other brands and I dare say, at the end of the day, I will give up the rest and just keep these Chanel Rouge Ink.
Matte but not too matte. I still apply a thin layer of balm beneath. Only think is I wish they come in a wider range of colours. Despite this, and owning 3 out of 8 colours in just over two months say a lot of how I love them.

This is a matt liquid lipstick that comes in a bottle with a sponge applicator. I have it in the Vivant shade, which is a warm pinky peach. I thought the ink would be a long lasting medium and it isn’t bad on that front. I do find it a bit drying although I always moisturise my lips before applying any lip product as a matter of course anyway.
I can’t really get on with the matt finish and always end up applying a gloss lipstick in a matching shade over the top. This does work reasonably well: when the gloss lipstick has worn off, you’re still left with the ink underneath which lasts much longer.
On balance, it was a nice diversion, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again – I’ll try something else new.
