I wanted to try these lipsticks and wimped out of buying “Envious” and instead got “Rebellious rose” which seemed more, well, work-appropriate – a colour I might wear often. And so it is. EL claims this lipstick is “sculpting”, hydrating and long-lasting. I’m not sure what they mean by “sculpting” – perhaps that you draw on (“sculpt”) your lips with colour? Because there is no other sculpting that any lipstick can do! (Sorry – I’m just fed up with these completely OTT ridiculous claims, do they think women are that stupid? Rant over.) I have to update regarding the wear – but it does indeed feel very comfortable on (and I have dry lips). The colour is more rosy-red than I expected, less brown. But it is still definitely a muted shade. I like it – it’s not too pink and not too brown. It goes well with my green eyes, and does not accentuate the slight ruddiness in my facial skin. This is no doubt a grown-up lipstick shade. Chic and understated, not loud and not bright. And of course the case is gorgeous – that magnetic snap is very satisfying! The price? Well, yes it is expensive but I’m not a lipstick hoarder. I’d rather buy just a few really high quality ones. I’m a happy bunny – and now considering getting one of the red shades after all…
