It is a beautiful soft red, which wears beautifully and feels comfortable, but the thing that is a deal breaker for me with Powder Kiss lipstick is the taste! I cannot bear the sickly sweet taste it leaves behind, and I won’t buy this formula again.

Shocking Revelation is a bright cool toned shade of red which is part of MAC’s newest finish of lipsticks, Powder Kiss. Powder Kiss lipsticks are matte, but very soft and balmy feeling, easily blended for a soft focus or gradient effect for the lips. It is very comfortable to wear but is not transfer proof and needs to be reapplied after eating. It will last through drinking however. It doesn’t bleed or feather, or dry out the lips. The colour is gorgeous, red with a hint of raspberry to it, pulling ever so slightly pink. It has blue undertones and therefore makes the teeth look whiter. It brightens the complexion and I believe the shade would suit a lot of different skin tones. It is a very wearable red. I really enjoy the Powder Kiss formula and would happily recommend the shade Shocking Revelation for anyone who lives a good red.
