I love this lipstick. The color is beautiful and the finish is outstanding. I was burned out on “matte” lipsticks…and I only ever liked them for certain shades (oddly enough, rarely red). It’s about time somebody came up with a new type of lipstick besides matte, satin, and frost (not that I don’t love them all in some colors, etc.) Powder Kiss has a matte finish but none of the “thick” look of typical matte lipsticks. In addition to the lightness of texture, Powder Kiss is moisturizing and does not feel like it absorbed moisture from lips. I have tried a few other “powder” lip colors over the years, but none have had this smoothe, easy to apply, silkiness, and they all got cakey and dry. Powder Kiss has a completely different formula from any other lipstick I’ve used. It has a velvety finish like a whipped color stain, but it’s so easy to apply and it lasts on lips for a long time. I love the way this makes my lips look like they’re a different color, not like my lips are covered in color. It seems to melt into my skin. Mandarin O reminds me of my beloved Costa Chic, but it’s frostless, and it leaves a subtle, very summery color. I’m beyond pleased with this lipstick and I can’t wait to get more Powder Kiss colors. Mandarin O has an extremely light, barely detectable vanilla-ish scent, and no noticeable taste.
