Pros:
– rich colour
– lasts long (3-4 hours no drink/food) then fading
– transfers very lightly
– Avon always has sale (regular C$12)
– some mattes
Cons:
– dark reds stains lips
– must be removed with oil (jojoba or olive oil)
– some in frost or metallics (difficult to remove fine shimmer without oils)
– can be a little drying
Tried a few shades but Totally Twig seems the only one I can comfortable wear without looking like a dollar store purchase. Some may have been discontinued. On my NC25-30 self:
Forever Fuchsia – bright deep pink. Beautiful but too loud for me.
Forever Pink – matches my pinkish lips so it did not show well (don’t like)
Nude Blush – micro gold shimmers. Rosy pink with hint of cinnamon. Too rusty for lips & shimmers (ugh) – don’t like.
Perpetual Pink – Micro gold shimmers. Peachy pink. Too light – don’t like.
Everlasting Petal – Micro silver shimmers. Pinky mauve. Could wear this on weekends for fun – like.
Rich Brown – Brownish red. Made my skin look sallow and dark. Don’t like.
Eternal Flame – Tomato red with hint of brown. I feel like it calls too much attention. Better have white teeth. Don’t like.
Enduring Wine – Micro red-gold shimmers which comes across as frosty lipstick. Deep Burgundy with hint of rust.
Forever Burgundy – Deep dark red with hint of cool brown. Beautiful wearable red if I want an everyday red. Love!
Totally Twig – brownish cool rose or mauve with hint of nude. Goes with everything & will repurchase. Love!

The biggest problem with Avon’s Extra Lasting lipstick line is that there aren’t nearly enough colors to choose from among. The best thing about this line is that they live up to their “Extra Lasting” name. The wear time is fabulous — considerably better than Revlon, L’Oreal and most other similarly-priced brands, in my experience.
Last year I bought Pink-Peach, which would appear now to be discontinued. I have no problem with cool shimmer/pearl finishes atop cool shades but in general I would like to see more warm shimmer/pearl finishes correspond to warm shades of lipstick. Like most satin/pearl lipsticks, however, Avon’s Pink-Peach features a silvery-white frost that contrasts with the warmth of the base color. While this makes for a unique color duplicated by nothing else I have in my considerable stash, I would have been far more inclined to repurchase had there been less of a clash between the shimmer and the base color.
The other color I ordered from Avon’s Extra Lasting line is “Eternal Flame”. I have a color-calibrated computer display and yet Avon’s online swatch did nothing to suggest the deep, vampy red I received. From the word “Flame” in the name, I expected it to run orange and yet it is a dark berry red. The swatch for Avon’s Eternal Flame is also marbled looking, which implies a metallic or frost finish. In reality, however, Eternal Flame is a matte red.
Avon sells some great products but this many years into the Internet era they need to get it together with respect to the accuracy of their online swatches. For whatever reason, Avon’s swatches for paler lipsticks tend to be fairly accurate whereas medium-bright shades tend to be considerably deeper — even quite dark — in real life. Nonetheless, I would definitely repurchase from this line if Avon can expand upon the color selections. This “Extra Lasting” formula truly puts all other lipsticks I’ve tried to shame — no feathering, very little fading and not overly drying.

Very drying but it lasts and I love it it sticks and i have it a a base to wer avon summer sheers lipgloss over it, great coverage, I have coral I ordered inthe book a wine, but this is what I got, I like it even better a nice almost nude colour, latsts 6+ hours even after meals and drink – kissing irt gets flaky but its the name extra last it doe sit’s job, great proce I have a matching murror, it’s small fo rmy pocktbook-purse it fits well a black tall cylinder tube, I love that reminds me of both – MAC mattene and slimshine, but this last much longer i’ll order more colours, I apply twice a day to the maximum , great fo rmy skina ndliptone I have the perfect liptone beause my lips are light pink whitish – not dark pink-red, I look like I’m wearing lipstick when Im not… and I’m weatring it now just applied after drinking iced teas herbal style great mix. Two months later now – Update I like the new ones with the red tube, (no more slimmery ones) they have SPF 15 and possably some aloe vera, and doesn’t last as long, I have that in very berry or something berry something with the name like that. The older slimmy ones did a better job, the new ones are shimmery. The older ones lived up to their job more than the himmery new ones. I have matching lip-liner for both lipsticks in berrys and it works with twig too (slim one) I’m unhappy that they discontinued the silm ones, please Avon bring them back. Everytime I purchase a MAC and Avon product, online or not I realize it goes for charity for a makeup item. I use both materials. I hope they don’t melty in my draw over summer. I have one in red tube, and four in a slim tube, two peaches, two berrys and one twig, I wish I got more twigs and I should of pinks. The new slim ones I found on a whim like a fluke, and Im glad I did. the slim case looks classy. I got a new purse the next week after that, so summers coming I hope the twig don’t melt I carry that one me. I wear the berry home. Twig is my favorite now, berry much darker than I thought , I wear a similar colour lipgloss over it, or mostly alone. It works!!!!!!!! It is my HG (holy grail) in Avon, berry, twig, and the lip conditioner in the cylinder tube in colour nude-y brown. Old version twig my favy, new version the berry one I’m up to date with the books my friend Amy gave me she’s a former Avon representative and gives me new books from time to time and that’s how I found out about all these products. I guess the slim tubes were limited edition or so not there are so yesterday and I do love old makeup, not old material, the older tubes. . It rocks…………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this lipstick in Pink Peach.
I love the shade, has a lovely natural pink look which makes my lips look fuller.
I found it terribly drying though and had to apply moisturising balm over the top.
I can’t say it lasts any longer than any other lipstick I own.
Love the colour but prefer more moisturising lipstick.

I love this lipstick! The one I got is Sunkissed Cinder. Its a pretty coral shade. It looks nice against my skin tone, as I am very pale. The packaging is very slim and easy to put in your bag\purse. It truly does last awhile. And it doesnt stick to your teeth, which is very good. I got this as a gift, so no exact price rating. Id so buy this again!

This review is for the shade Cappuccino in the recently updated black/red “extralasting” branded packaging. Cappuccino is the perfect MLBB pinky browned pale peach for my super pale skintone. This is an extremely similar shade to MAC ‘brave new bronze’ which is a fave of mine and very similar (can’t tell them apart) to wet n Wilds Mega-last in bare-it all but is slightly more creamy and longlasting. Lasts well, doesnt stick to teeth – huge improvement on the old Perfect Wear formula. Only thing is these used to be on sale for $5.99 NZ but now they are $14.99 on sale and $25 full price which is rather expensive for an avon product but I stock up when they are half priced

I have this in Forever Burgundy and Sand Gold. As quality goes, I must say that it varies with the color that you order. Sand Gold was my first order. It was so pale on me that it made me look quite dead. The formula, however, was satisfactory and much like L’Oreal’s Infallible lipsticks. I kissed my own hand to try their lasting ability and like L’Oreal, a sheer bit of lipstick gets on your lips and you do have to reapply. I’m not liking Sand Gold too much, it probably will look better on the palest of women, but what’s good is that it’s one of the only lipstick brands I own that never get on my teeth! (As pretty as their colors are, the other AVON lipsticks have been known to leave bits on teeth.)
However, I opted to give this brand a second chance by selecting a different color. The brochures are sooooooo misleading. Sand Gold was lighter than advertised and Forever Burgundy was lighter as well. It wasn’t exactly burgundy, but it wasn’t the classic red lipstick either. It was more of a deep red, almost like blood. But it looked actually quite flattering and the formula, in my opinion, does not seem as dry as the previous reviews have said. This lipstick lasts for quite a few hours, I don’t quite know about eight hours, I have never worn it for that long, but the quality for the price is pretty great. Durability and the attractive colors (if you choose the right one for your skin tone) are the highlights of these products.

I do not like this lipstick. It feels very dry on my lips. Also the colour is not the best match for me.

So disappointed 🙁 I really wanted this to work. It did not even make it to four hours. As a normal lipstick it is lovely a creamy but it is definitely not extralasting, it will be returned.

Thanks to Amalzahir for recommending Totally Twig. I’m a redhead, and I normally wouldn’t choose a dark color like that, but it works well for me.
I bought a couple other colors too, and I’m pleased overall.
My only complaint is that they rub off onto pop cans, etc.
