This is my idea of a nude lip. It’s not the pale pinky brown that’s always called nude, but a rich brown-pink-red. Not matte, not glossy, just the perfect finish.
I’m in love with this lipstick. It’s a real MLBB for me, slightly darker than my natural lip and very flattering for my NC20-NC25 skin. It doesn’t bleed or feather on me (almost every lipstick feathers on my lips) and it’s not drying at all, very comfortable to wear. I hope it’ll never be discontinued.

This is a beautiful colour it is not a common shade for the ‘nude’ description, but is a coral-brown that is close to the natural shade of healthy looking lips.
LQ has done it again with the magic of colour, I am in my 50s and refuse to turn to lame nude or pink tones but don’t want to look overly made up. This lipstick does the trick perfectly.
It is also comfortable and long wearing.

This is an intensely matte formula, and my favourite long-lasting nude lipstick. I’ve tried quite a few, and this manages to achieve a strong nude look without looking too 90’s (an issue I had with Bobbi Brown ‘Uber Nude’). It’s such a deep shade on my complexion, it borders on looking a bit ‘film noir’ if applied heavily in several layers, however it’s still very flattering and doesn’t have too much of a dark undertone that it turns my eyes into tiny pin pricks or make me look ill! I tend to only wear it in the evening, and often instead of a red lipstick as it has a similar intensity, but I can just about get away with not wearing eyeliner with Nude Sinner.
It’s definitely a warm and wearable nude, and less intense than Rust Sinner (another favourite shade of mine). I have warm undertones, so shades such as Natural Sinner don’t work so well on me.
Thankfully it has no strong perfume, doesn’t dry my lips and takes ages to fade – and no dreaded lipstick rings!

Immediately attracted to the black tubes at the Lipstick Queen display, I was glad to find they housed the Matte ‘Sinner’ range. I swatched this, and immediately purchased it. I also intended on checking on the Natural Sinner shade but they seemed to have sold out of that with no tester – so I bought the last Nude Sinner.
This is MLBB! I’m really pleased by this. It’s a warm maeve-y pinky brown, perfect for pigmented lips. An ideal nude for WOC and mixed-race people (normally nudes equal the deathly ill look) It’s not overly warm in that teeth-yellowing way either! Very very flattering.
I use lip balm underneath this, usually Lucas Pawpaw Ointment. I put it on after brushing my teeth and making sure to swipe my lips with my face towel to make sure any dead skin is gone.
Staying power is pretty much 5 hours even though I drink water regularly. Might last longer with some kind of lip primer but I can’t be bothered with those.
I’m exploring more nude lip options but I think this might end up being my HG!

I’ve been on a lipstick kick for a few years now…I own a ton on lipsticks from different brands ranging from Mac, Armani, Hourglass, Becca, and Lipstick Queen (not to mention drugstore brands). I pulled nude sinner out randomly and thought I’d try it out today. I forgot how much I loved this particular shade. I like mlbb shades and this color works well for my summer tan skin. It is the type of nude that looks good with rosey cheeks, or the smokey eye. There is something very natural and soft…I felt compelled to write a review about this lipstick because my husband commented on how pretty my lip color was today. He’s said that about two shades of lipsticks in the years we’ve been together. I love the stain the color leaves at the end of the day. It’s opaque- not overly moisturizing, but it does the job and the color is in my humble opinion timeless. For reference I am NC 37/40. Love it!

I am a PPP with yellow undertones and hair somewhere between copper and strawberry blonde. This color is not a MLBB on me. It looks like a subtle red with a bit of brown. Obviously, depending on the liner color, it can look more red or more brown. It is very pigmented and a bit dryer than the creamy consistency I like, so I sparingly apply LQ Shine Gold Saint pot gloss lightly in the middle of my bottom lip. The gloss migrates a bit so the texture on my lips is a bit creamier without being too glossy. I am always attracted to reds, but hate the way they look on me. I think this is as close to a red as I can wear. I think this will become a staple of my winter l/s choices.

Just as I wrote in my Pink Sinner review, I have to repeat that all the Sinner lipsticks have the same creamy texture, moisturizing properties and delightful full coverage. I find this to be a superior lipstick formula.
I’m NC20 for reference and find the Nude color very appropriate for my skin tone. My lips are quite pigmented so I’m used to wearing a darker lip color and I’m comfortable with it. Because of my natural lip color, Nude Sinner is actually a nude color on me, whereas someone else might think of “nude” as a much much lighter shade of browny pink. Nude Sinner is more of a browner red than pink and about 2 shades darker than MAC Twig and more red. I find it to very neutral despite the brown and it’s a shade that is MLBB for me.

I’ve had this lipstick for four months now and my opinion has become more definite, so I’ve deleted my old review and am writing this new one. In my previous review I said I was not sure if I would buy this lipstick again, now I know that I never will. I like that all the Lipstick Queen mattes (the Lipstick Queen founder Poppy King calls them “sinners”) are not drying, scentless, and have loads of pigment, also the lipstick bullet is very sturdy and classic in style. However… in my personal experience the colours are really… off.
All the lipsticks in the “sinner” range are variations of dark red with a hint of brown. There is a rust-red with a hint of brown, a red-peach with a hint of brown, a red-fuschia with a hint of brown, a red-brown with a hint of even more brown… etc. I purchased “nude sinner”, the lightest colour in the matte collection that wasn’t salmon pink with a hint of warm putty and, uh, brown. I was worried initially that someone would compliment me and ask me the name of the lipstick I was wearing and I would have to say “nude sinner”, but I wear this colour so infrequently that it doesn’t matter. In the bright flourescence of the Kit Cosmetics store “nude sinner” seemed to be a brownish-nude my-lips-but-better shade, but in any other lighting the colour appeared more warm-reddish-brown, more brown than red and certainly NOT nude — not that I have a “problem” with reddish brown shades, I loved to wear red lipstick with brown undertones in the 90s, but even in the 90s I wasn’t wearing red lipstick as brown as this!
I even tried giving “nude sinner” away to my sister who regularly wears brown-based nudes such as MAC “mocha” — “mocha” is pretty much her go-to colour and it is indeed a dark beige-brown, and on first impression it does look a little bit like “nude sinner”. Unfortunately she thinks that “nude sinner” is too red. So really, this lipstick is neither red nor brown enough for people who want either colour and it certainly is not nude! I was hoping that “nude sinner” would replace my MAC “hug me” lipstick (a beige, slightly warm-pink shade) because it always wore off too soon and was sometimes not pigmented enough for my naturally mauve lips. I have heard that the “saint” versions of Lipstick Queen are sheerer yet staining so they wear well, however I don’t want to make another expensive mistake. I’m just staying away from their regular line.
For reference: I am Asian of Chinese heritage and have very light olive skin with yellow overtones and freckles (MAC NC20 — see my notepad for more detail). In winter I usually wear cooler colours and in summer I wear warmer colours to compliment my natural tan.

If I could rate it ten, I would. I am SMITTEN with this lipstick. Last night I left it at work and I nearly had a panic attack thinking it was lost! I do most of my buying on line and nearly passed on this shade because of the reviews said it was brown. (Funny, Poppy’s Rasberry is the brown one.) But I took a chance and It is a HEAVENLY COLOR for me—as is the ‘Saint’ version. Makes my lips feel great—and lipstick nearly always makes them burn. I feel PRETTY!

I would call this a YLBB shade rather than what people associate traditionally with a nude. I have rather pigmented lips and for me this is great – it’s the colour of the outer edges of my lips and just fills them in nice and solid.
The texture is interesting – it’s quite matte but not completely matte, it does dry to a sort of a powdery feel perhaps? It wears reasonably well, I wouldn’t call it longlasting but it’s definitely longer lasting than a shinier finish of lippie.
It was a long time ago that I was wearing poppy lippies regularly but I think this is less drying than the old ones and the finish is nicer.
I bought two at the same time (other being pink sinner) and one has a rubberised lid and one has a metal lid, although both have rubberised bottoms. Not sure what’s going on there but I like this one better so it’s keeping the rubberised lid. 😛
