If I was only rating the product itself, I would have given it 5 lippies but I took one off for price – it’s up there. This is my HG lipstick – most lipsticks only last for an hour at most on me and dry my lips out, but this one stays put for ages. It has a lovely creamy texture – slightly stickier than most formulations (which helps it stay on longer) and leaves my lips feeling moisturised. Blush is my go-to colour – like my own lips, but better. It’s a neutral pinky brown with a very slight shimmer to it. It has a barely noticeable scent – to me it smells slightly citrusy which I love.

Blush is from the new Nourishing Lip Color line from Bobbi Brown (February 2016). The lipsticks feel nice and have a nice glossy feel and look (Not metallic, frosty or glittery at all). Pigmentation varies, the more sheer colors are sheer, but still covering. The brighter & deeper shades pack more of a punch. These are similar to the MAC Huggables and the other lip butter like lipsticks that have been on trend lately infused with oils & providing a luminous shine. The price is completely ridiculous for what you get ($28 for .08 oz), but I find BB’s items are usually over priced.
Blush is dubbed a neutral pink brown. It is similar to VGV in the neutrality, flexibility and shade. But it is more clean in that it doesn’t have the shimmer VGV has. Blush is just a glossy polish. Blush deserves 5 lippies for its neutral perfection. I mean, this lipstick looks great with my UD Bittersweet, BB Pale Pink, Hourglass Ethereal Glow, etc. I am someone who turns everything orange or brown if it has an iota of it in the shade, but Blush holds it’s ground in the neutral pink beige shade. Blush is the type of shade I love in the summer when I want to look polished but not done up. It is also one of the shades that makes me think “Bobbi Brown” (polished, sophisticated, neutral). While it can be considered an mlbb shade, it is more on the nude side of that spectrum. I am torn between giving this a 4 because it is a touch boring and a 5 because it is one of those shades you can always carry with you for quick polish. So, I went with the 5.
FYI – I am nw20, deep soft winter, almost black hair, brown eyes. And this is my 1000th review! Time flies when you are playing with makeup!
