Dark and Stormy is a cool-leaning dusty mauve shade, which comes of as slightly vampy – and it also has a hint of purple in it. A very unique shade, in my opinion.
The formula is the perfect balance between being not-too-wet and not-too-dry, so it applies easily for a liquid lipstick and dries very quickly. It’s the best of both worlds when it comes to lip colour: you are getting the easy application, strong colour and good staying power of a traditional bullet lipstick [around 5/6 hours, depending on food and if you drink with a straw or not], minus the drag and heavy & drying feeling you can get from a bullet lipstick. As a liquid you get a soft & moisturized feeling and pleasant scent/taste of a gloss, minus the sticky and slippy feeling you get from a glossy formula.
This brand doesn’t have the smoothest formula or the longest staying power or anything like that, but I’ve never seen this kind of shade anywhere, so I still recommend it.
