Posh Tone, a soft pale pinkish nude, your-lips-but-better, is one of my favorites in the Mineralize formula. I’m usually nc20 in MAC or N3 in the studio fix, or Sand in Bobbi Brown foundations, so fair to light, and I look best in colors that are Spring and Autumn. My other MAC standbys are Hug Me and Shanghai Spice. This is less peachy than Shanghai Spice. It’s sort of like Bobbi’s Pale Pink but more beige/nude than that. The Mineralize texture is buttery and has good staying power, but of course the Mattes will out wear it. Great color for every day.

I got the chance to try this out at my local Nordstrom. This shade blended into my lip tone and wasn’t flattering on me. I will not purchase.

I have medium-light skin tone (I use bobbi brown 3.5 warm beige & Laura Mercier ‘Bisque’), and this is so far the best daytime lipstick ever.
It’s not too coralish(like MAC Ravishing) or too brickish, just perfect “Warm natural pinky nude beige”. It’s very close to my lip color but this opaque lipstick covers the purple undertone on my lips and give warm peachy rosey look. With Posh tone, I dont have to worry about using lip concealer or anything to prepare base on my lips. It’s perfect “daytime” lipstick if you have light to medium skin tone like me and want something warm natural pinky nude on your lips.
Oh, this color makes your makeup very natural but flawless under direct sun light as well 🙂

+ After using it few weeks, this mineralized lipstick gave me contact dermatitis on lips 🙁
I guess the mineral ingredients are causing the allergy reaction…

I went on a swatchfest at mac looking for a flattering nude l/s on my nc40 skintone. I prefer warm toned nudes. Most of the ones I swatched where either too pale, too pink, or too cool toned. Finally, I stumbled upon posh tone. The color is a great peach, pink, beige nude. Formula feels light and moisturizing, but it has too much slip causing it not to last as long. I’m one of those people who re-apply lip products constantly, so it’s ok, but If I’m having a night out I wouldn’t wear it. A few sips of a drink and it’s gone. Smashbox lipstick in Honey is a similar color, a tad darker, but lasting power is much better. The smashbox has a thicker creamier consistency. I’m giving it 4 lippies because I love the color, but for the lasting power and price point, it should really only get 3.

I am a pale skinned redhead with green eyes. I really cannot do nudes or I look like a corpose. And, in my not so humble opinion, lips and skin are SUPPOSED to be different colors. That said, I do need a pretty, natural color that I can wear for daytime and more casual looks. That’s harder than you might think, because although I am pale, my complection is very warm, with sallow undertones. For this reason, anything pink looks abysmal on me. And when I do find the right shade, it’s inevitably too dark or too light.
This is a really, really nice natural, (NOT NUDE) lip color that I can wear with pretty much any eye look, whether dramatic or understated. It is a very warm tone, but I wouldn’t call it exactly peachy, though I suppose peach means different things to different people. It’s more of a deep flesh tone. But that’s not really accurate either. I just know this color works for me.
The smell is lovely, the quality is excellent and it is very moisturizing.
I don’t love the consistency. I’m a WW leader so I speak a lot. Anything too creamy or glossy gets on my teeth when I’m speaking, which isn’t pretty. And, those kind of formulations tend to twear off far too quickly for my liking. While not overtly sheer or glossy, it is much lighter than I would normally select and does not last the way I would like it to.
HOWEVER. I like the color enough that I can deal with it. I find that pplying a lipliner or a longwearing lip product beneath it boosts wear time significantly.
I said I would rebuy because the quality is good and the color is so perfect for me. But I am going to explore similar tones in other finishes. Honeylove? Cherish? Mocha?
Welcome to the cult of MAC, I guess!

This is a great, everyday, subtle lip color. The lipstick smells amazing, goes on smooth, and moisturizes my lips all day. It really is a “posh” color…goes with just about everything. Love. A must have and my newest HG item.

Posh Tone is a wonderful nude for those of us that hate nudes. It is shimmery by a BIT, peach so for warm skin I guess. But maybe there is a touch of pink in it. For all that mositure it lasts maybe .5 or a half an hour, ridiculous. Feels good though. Upscale packaging.
