   Saw these recommended by a beauty blogger, ordered it online and finally here they are. Must say I love Huda Kattans bullet lipstick collection, Cake Day probably being my fave of the 3. It’s a stunning Magenta pink infused with blue and silver glitter…however I find the glitter barely noticeable if at all, and if anything the color looks more metallic than glittery, but a subtle metallic. It’s longwearing, I have used on 2 seperate nights out and not had to reapply once. And speaking of application, these glide on oh-so-smoothly, without dragging. Very moisturizing too. I do hope this becomes a mainstay in the collection, currently it’s a limited edition and I’ve no idea how long it will be around for, perhaps best if I stock up whilst I still can!

   Huda Beauty have just released their first bullet lipsticks with a metallic finish for the holiday season; Cake Day is a magenta pink formula, with a “revolutionary mix of multi-reflective glitter, kaleidoscopic pearl pigments and iridescent shimmer creates an incredible high-impact 3D finish like you’ve never experienced before”… Umm yeah, what she said – it’s softer and smoother than my experience with metallic lipsticks, so I’d say it’s like a creamy glitter formula, minus the grit and mess usually associated with glitter infused formulas. Saying the lipstick is pink and sparkly doesn’t sound overly appealing, but the sparkle blends into the base a bit, so I can happily wear this lipstick in the day without feeling overdone – it might be a bit too much for work/school, but it’s nice for casual time.

   The formula has Brazilian nut oil and sweet almond oil in it, so it feels soft and creamy and glides on easily. Being so creamy means that it will need touching up every several hours, although it does stain lips a bit, so some colour does cling – I like this so don’t count it as a negative, but if you don’t like staining lip products, then this lippie isn’t for you. The rectangular tube is nice, as you can leave it on your dresser etc without it rolling away The only thing about this lippie that I don’t like is the shape of the bullet as it doesn’t suit my lip shape, so is not the smoothest application – but after a few uses it becomes more rounded, so it is not a dealbreaker for me since that issue soon disappears.
