Love this lipstick!
Cooler toned (which is rare in Jordana, they seem to favour their pinky berry shades) and (like all Jordana mattes) creamy, rather than a true matte. Applies well, lasts fine (I wore it to a wedding, and only had to retouch once after dinner), and has the chocolatey/vanilla Jordana scent.
I normally find matte lipsticks unwearably drying, but not most of the Jordana range, this was no exception. Not drying at all. I make sure to wear a good, waxy primer, and it’s totally fine.

Like the previous reviewer, this was also my first Jordana lipstick because I needed a red lippie for an upcoming concert. For reference I’m about NC35-37 but more neutral, and I think this is a cool toned shade. I can pull it off, but only just. It smells heavenly, like vanilla and lasts perhaps 5 hours, leaving a lovely dark pink stain once it’s worn off. It’s in the matte range, and as expected is rather drying. So make sure you use a lip balm! The pigmentation is pretty good, two swipes can get you a pretty opaque lip. I think the reason why I’m not a huge fan of it is because it doesn’t suit me, but neutral to cool toned girls should definitely give it a go. It won’t break your bank, I promise 😉

This is the first Jordana lipstick I’ve purchased, and let me just say, for a lipstick that was under $4 Singaporean, it’s surprisingly good.
The colour, at first glance, was very bright – well brighter than the reds I’m used to anyway, lol – but once applied, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. It did start off a slightly bright tomato colour, but after a few minutes, though still in the tomato colour range, it was more of an over-ripe tomato compared to a just-ripened one. (picture uploaded above).
Staying power wasn’t too bad, lasted through breakfast – coffee and a croissant, but not through lunch and had to be re-applied. But seriously, for less than $5, to me that is awesome!
I did use revlon lipstain #90 underneath, but I use that with all my red lippies, so I didn’t find it overly drying, but seriously, most matte lippies are drying, hence their staying power.
All in all, a pretty good red lipstick.

EDIT: I have to take away 2 lippies due to the flavor of all Jordana lipsticks. It’s very perfumey and it makes everything I eat taste that way. It’s also very dry, and my lips are dry now, so this doesn’t help them. I also clicked NO on repurchasing.
Jordana lipsticka are nice. They come in a huge variety of colors and have 3 formulas: SHEER (not very sheer IMO), REGULAR (this one has the largest color selection and the colors come in CREAM and FROST finishes) and MATTE. The SHEER formula is the least drying, but REGULAR and MATTE are drying, so using a lipbalm underneath is a must. These lippies do have fragrance, it’s rather light but can be unpleasant to some. The newer MATTE lippies smell better, though, like vanilla. The packaging looks cheap, but it’s convenient since the cap is clear and closes tightly. This makes the lippies purse safe and and you can also find a certain color easyly. The price of these lippies is also a big plus, they’re dirt cheap.
SCARLET RED is from the MATTE formula. It’s a true red with no blue or orange undertones. I’m LLL/MMM and this lipstick doesn’t look very bright on me (as some reds do). I think this color would look great on anyone.
