:O How did I miss reviewing this!?!? THIS IS MY FAVORITE RED!!!!!!! I adore this color. A slightly muted blue toned red. For some reason I have so many red-oranges and oranges but this red is just to die for. It’s creamy and beautiful in color and formula. Oh man I’m itching for a backup just talking about it. (They seem to be getting rid of a lot of these or possibly the line). Get this if you can, it’s gorgeous. I’m going to add some images as well.

The texture on Merlot is jut amazing.
The lipstick sits light on the lips and after one point you even forget you are wearing one.
Doesn’t transfer much. Great Pigmentation
Stays for a longer time, leaves a gentle stain.
Makes me want to wear it everyday.

Out of all the lipsticks I own, this is by far my favorite. I love a bold lip, and this color is the perfect balance between a red and a pink that it is completely wearable. If you are looking to try a more exciting lip color, I would totally recommend this. Formula wise, the lipstick is so creamy and pigmented. It feels very hydrating on the lips, but is still completely matte. I wear this without a lip liner and experience no feathering or patchiness. After eating, I do feel the need to reapply in the center, but I feel that way with any lipstick. The product does smell a bit like cake, but the scent is undetectable after application. I do, unfortunately, have an issue with the packaging. The lipstick tends to scroll up while in my bag. This has squashed the point a little bit, which doesn’t affect the performance but is reasonably annoying. Additionally, I’ve had the cap fall off a few times in my bag. Overall, this is just an amazing color with a fantastic formula. I would highly recommend.

Another amazing colour from the NYX matte collection! This is definitely my favorite, it’s a beautiful, deep berry colour and it looks so good both applied normally and lightly. I’m in love with this lipstick! It has been aplied quite lightly in the lip swatch pics and it’s the middle colour on the arm swatch.
