This is my absolute, favorite lipstick color, and it is discontinued. I am constantly seeking for a dupe that will work.
I wrote Mac, and an expert beauty advisor promptly advised me: “you may be interested in Chili Lipstick blended with Cork Lip Pencil. It is the closest match that we can recommend for your needs. ”
But a few weeks ago, I stumped across Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick in Verbena, and I am very pleasantly surprised. It’s close, although not quite Marrakesh.

I loved this lipstick– densely pigmented, exotic looking and velvety. It was my first MAC lippy and I’m gutted it’s discontinued.

This and all of MACs lipsticks don’t last on me and don’t go on very evenly. The color is a warm bright red, very pigmented. I’d call it a brick red-very pretty, but I don’t like the formula.

This is a dead ringer for Revlon’s Super Lustrous lipstick in Bali Brown. A warm auburn brown shade from the matte line. Good for a classy reddish-brown lip look. There is some terracotta in this because of the brown, but it definitely isn’t orange on me as the previous reviewer mentioned. Maybe it shows up differently on different people? Thumbs up for general staying power, but I do notice that my MAC amplified lipstick wears off a little more evenly than this after dining.

Marrakesh is an intense orange brown (matte). Love the colour, but am not crazy about the matte finish (too drying). Maybe best for warm skintones.
