I am in love.
When these first came out, the price was a little ridiculous but I couldn’t unsee all of the beautiful photos of the looks created with it. So I had to have it and I don’t regret it one bit. As most know, you get 6 lipsticks, 3 glitters, 1 gold loose pigment, and 1 clear lip gloss with the kit. I have had it long enough now to properly play around with it and review it. So here we go.
This kit is so so so SO fun, whimsical, and exciting. I have to try NOT to do a pat McGrath glitter lip of some kind every. single. day. Surprisingly, the finished looks can turn out to be very wearable and not overly editorial or “haute couture” and the variety and possibilities are huge.
The lipsticks come in a pen-like twist up tube, and they are the real deal. Pigmented. Creamy. Soft. Moisturizing, non-drying. Not a thick, crusty, or heavy matte by any means. They are such a dream. However, because they are so soft and light, the staying power is not incredibly astounding. It’s good enough for me because, at least, they do wear down nicely in an even way. They don’t completely break apart or rub off and I like that, even if the color does fade after awhile.
Flesh 1- a very pale, nearly coral nude. It is ethereal and pretty.
Flesh 2 – very easily a MLBB nude for some skin tones. It’s a medium-brown nude.
The flesh glitter is rose gold and gorgeous.
Venom 1- that classic American doll, fire engine, pin up girl red. super pigmented and flattering.
Venom 2 – A deep, cool toned, dark wine colored red. Another gorgeous, pigmented color that I think ANYone with ANY skin tone can rock.
The venom glitter is bright red, think Dorothy’s slippers from wizard of Oz. The venom set, as a whole, really stands out to me.
Blood 1 – my favorite color. A deep cool toned red….like, well; blood! A little darker than Venom 1 and with just enough cool undertones make it so pretty for anyone.
Blood 2 – deep, dark plum, it appears almost black on my medium-to-fair skin.
The blood glitter is dark red and purple-y. This set is super daring and fun.
The clear gloss is actually pretty impressive as far as glosses go, it smells and tastes great, isn’t tacky, and a little bit will make your lips look like they are literally dripping wet. It’s quite glamorous.
The gold pigment is out of this world and will make your lips look like Midas touched them. I don’t use it a lot because it’s so pigmented and am having a hard time incorporating gold-ingot lips into my day to day looks but it is amazingly fun and I’m working on using it in wearable looks. Dabbing on just a touch of it is pretty, especially with the flesh set. I’m going to try to have some fun with it on Halloween and with the holidays coming up.
So, all of the lipsticks are gorgeous, flattering, wear well, and stand on their own. But using them with the gloss and glitter is amazing. I always get compliments on the full look, and as I stated, it’s actually (kind of) wearable and not TOO out there. The glitter, obviously, will not last all day and will come off as soon as you eat or drink. But I’m pleased with how it looks afterward, just enough remnants stick around for a subtle, shiny, light catching look and it’s actually very pretty and I don’t feel the need to touch up. (Well. It’s kind of hard to do that anyway as it’s a 3 step process to get the complete look) I’m surprisingly pleased with how well these work into my working girl life and I thought for certain I would only be wearing them for photos or nights out.
I can’t rave enough about the colors and the beauty of all of the different looks you can possibly create. I seriously can’t say enough. The colors are SO BEAUTIFUL and perfect. But…..here is my little list of cons. This lip kit was not cheap, so while I hate to do it to something I love so much, I think it’s only fair to hold it to such a high standard.
– only one of my glitters (Blood) would dispense properly. The other two required so much shaking and smacking only for, like, two measly little flecks of glitter to squeak out. Why? What’s up with that? I had to use a bent paper clip to unclog/widen the holes on the filter, and actually popped the entire lid off on the Venom glitter. A lot of it went flying everywhere which made me sad because I don’t want to waste, but it is so much easier to use now. I’m going to try to carefully remove the filter lids on the other glitters too. For what I paid, I would rather not have to Jerry-rig things to get them to work the way I want them to.
– I am not crazy for the lipstick packaging. Again, this is being a little nitpicky, but these are NOT cheap lipsticks and yet they are packaged that way. They look sleek and pretty but are in truth made of a very cheap, thin plastic that somehow feels like it’s gonna fall apart at any second. There is also nothing but a tiny sticker with some super fine print typing to indicate which color you are using, so it is confusing and total guess work to find the one you want. First world problem? Maybe. But I think it’s worth mentioning.
In summary: these are gorgeous and fun and I am in love with them. They really bring a ton of excitement to my makeup routine and are going to be my beloved HGs for the holidays or nights out. And I can even find ways to wear them to work, glitter and all. LOVE. They feel nice, look nice, and wear down nice. For top price, they are not top quality but are close enough. Nearly perfect. I will be buying them again and again if Pat McGrath does a re-release.
Whew. Was this thorough enough?! Lol.

I purchased the everything kit because it’s amazing packaging, tons of colours, crazy glitters and the gold pigment is stunning!
The lipsticks themselves are comfortable but not very long lasting. They fade elegantly but you will need to touch up throughout the day. They are very smooth and go on beautifully. The colours are a nice variety, and they look great when you combine the two colours for an ombre look. Blood is my favourite set.
The microglitters are super pretty. They are a bit hard to dispense out of the packaging, it takes some time and some smacking. They look amazing but they do fall off over time if you are wearing them. If you are out and about you def have to be prepared for some fall out and touch up.
The gold pigment is my favourite part of this kit! It looks so amazing when mixed with the gloss. Your lips seriously look metallic. So pretty. If you wear it on your lips alone it fades down beautifully over time. I really really love it.
When I got my kit one of the lipsticks (blood 2) was mislabelled and was actually a duplicate stick of flesh 1. I contacted Pat McGrath (after Sephora was unable to do anything other than offer for me to return the entire kit) and they were kind enough to send me another lipstick. The one that they sent me was the correct colour but had no stickers and the lipstick didn’t sit properly in the tube. Not a huge deal but it also felt a little strange considering these are pretty expensive lipsticks.
Overall I’m glad I got it, I really like it, but overall aside from the sparkly outer packaging I think the kit was a little bit cheaper feeling than I expected considering the price tag. I don’t regret purchasing it but I’ll think twice before I purchase something from them again.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Everything Kit when it first launched. I am between an NC45-50.
This kit comes with 6 shades, 3 glitters, a gold pigment and a vinyl gloss.
Glitters: I haven’t tried the glitters so I can’t comment on how well it stays on the lips. However, from reviews I have seen and read, the packaging makes it difficult to get any glitter out. I have also read that these are probably Lit Glitters. The Venom Glitter is Firecracker. Flesh glitter is Opal. Bloodwine is Heartbreaker.
Gloss: The gloss has a nice scent. Isn’t too sticky or too thin. It’s a gloss. I haven’t worn it so I can’t speak on it’s long term performance. However, it really does seem magical when the pigment is added to it.
First off, every lipstick is extremely pigmented. No gaps or spots. They’re very creamy. No scent. Easy to apply. I find that after some time, they CAN be drying but going on they’re very comfortable. I make sure to apply a tad bit of gloss before applying these so they won’t get too dry.
Flesh: Flesh 1 is a very light peachy shade. Not brown skin friendly and will need a lip liner. I haven’t worn this shade yet. Flesh 2 works on my skin tone but wouldn’t work on anyone deeper than I. It’s a very pretty shade. It has pink undertones. It doesn’t stain. This set is not dark skinned friendly at all. Only represents 1 type of flesh.
Vermillion Venom: Venom 1. Bright, rockabilly red. Reminds me of MAC Ruby Woo. Very beautiful shade. One of my favorites. Venom 2. Literally the same shade as dried blood. It’s a dark reddish brown. Fall friendly. When swatched this is the same shade as MAC Sin. Both of these shades can stain lips.
Bloodwine: Darker Reds. Blood 1 is lighter than Venom 2, but darker than Venom 1. An average red shade, although I really like it. Similar to MAC Russian Red. Blood 2 is another favorite. Dark plum shade. Like MAC Cyber but without all of the patchiness and much longer lasting. I prefer this shade. Nice fall and winter shade. Both of these shades can stain lips.
The packaging leaves much to be desired. As stated above the glitters are difficult to get out. The lipstick packaging is nice and sleek, however the stickers will eventually rub off and fade. I’ve already had that happen. I understand it was to save costs but eventually once the sticker falls off these will just be black tubes? It could have been a bit nicer but if I had bought 1 lipstick for $25 I still would think it was worth the price.
Reading her Instagram, it seems many people received the wrong order or the glitter was leaking all over the packaging. I didn’t have that problem, although one of my lipsticks came without a cap. I contacted CS and they told me a replacement would be sent. It took about a week or so before it was sent because the Sephora launch happened in between that time so I’m sure they were swamped. Once they sent it out, it was sent out overnight. I’m very happy with their CS.
Would I buy these again? Was it all hype? Yes and no. Yes, I would buy the lipsticks again. I don’t need the glitters or the gloss. If she came out with more shades, I would snatch them up. Their formula is amazing. If you’re not into the glitter or the magical gold pigment, it’s not worth it. The singles will do.
