   Gorgeous color. Absolutely stunning. Dark Berry red.

   Sadly it last less than an hour on my lips, but that’s probably my fault since I’m a constant lip smacker. It’s not very matte on me, it’s more slippery than I usually go for, which probably why it doesn’t lasts on me.

   Let’s start with the good things. The color is gorgeous, it’s very well pigmented and I think it would look nice on most skin tones. Plus, I can’t not mention the ridiculously low price.
   Now, for the bad stuff… I honestly feel like it’s drying the life out of my lips, no matter how much lip balm I put under it. Also, it wears off very quickly and, which is worse, very unevenly. It’s not a pretty look. At all. I tried putting some powder on it in hopes it would make it last longer but I can’t say it worked too well. Overall, I’m not happy with this lipstick.

   p.s. I wouldn’t want this rather negative review to discourage you from buying any shades from the Essence Longlasting series. I also have the color Natural Beauty and I am in love with it and I wear it all day every day. I have no idea why these two are so different in quality.

   Love the color and love it even more on top the longlasting essence lip liner:) lasting power os pretty average but since its coz more bluish undertone to it ; it makes the teeth look brighter 😉 which is definetly a plus ❤️love it and would definetly purchase more….in Bahrain it retails for jus 1bhd 🙂 awesome price for an awesome product

   I recently discovered the Essence line as I was strolling the makeup aisles in my local drug store and couldn’t believe how fabulous it was for the price. #14 Adorable Matt is an outstanding little lipstick. Red is my favourite colour and I wear red lipstick all the time. Against my skin tone it looks like a true red. This is my first matte red and I really like it. I happened to picked up the last tube in this colour – lucky me! In Canada it is sold at Shoppers Drug Mart for $3.49 but I got it on sale for $2.64, which makes me want to buy every colour in the line. What an excellent price for an excellent lipstick!

   Unbelievable quality for the price! How did we in the U.S. luck out getting such great European quality for such a low price?? Whatever the reason, go to Ulta, and buy these lippies. This one is creamy and bright, great quality. It’s a pinky red shade, not a true matte, and I like that. This shade is often sold out at my local Ulta.

   I have almost every single lipstick in this range, and this is my favourite along with No.4. I’m asian, chinese, NC30-35. Gorgeous! Definitely a statement lip, or you can just wear this alone! Love this!

   $2.99 for a good quality, full coverage lipstick made in Italy? Yes, please!

   Although the name is 14 Adorable Matt!, this Essence lipstick is more of a soft or demi-matte formula. The shade is a classic sort of pinky red that is slightly blue based, but not fuchsia. Compared to Rimmel Kate 01 in the black tube, Rimmel 01 is a clearer red, deeper and shinier than Essence 14. Both leave some amount of stain on the lips.

   Essence packages these long lasting lipsticks in cute black tubes sturdy enough to carry in your bag. There is little colored ring around the middle to indicate the shade, a detail that comes in handy if you have several of these lipsticks. The bullet itself has a cute little “e” embossed midway down which is a nice little touch similar to Giorgio Armani lipsticks.

   I will get a lot of use from Essence 14 this fall and winter and anticipate buying more shades!

   This is a pretty darn good little lippie for $2.49. I was going to a 1940’s themed party and needed a red lippie. My go to red lipstick is NARS Red Lizard but I didn’t want to spend that kind of money for a lipstick I won’t wear that often. This is pretty close dupe for Red Lizard tho this is slightly bluer. It is a semi-matte that applies evenly. The lasting power isn’t the best but I don’t mind that so I’m not reducing a lippie for that reason. Give this one a try.
