This is a luxuriously smooth matte lipstick, and Matte Crimson is as bright and as true a red that they make in this formula. I had a really difficult time picking out a lip color because everything was too light for my warm golden Caramel shade. I couldn’t even find a second shade. Too bad, nice lipstick, a little pricey, adorable silver ribbed lipstick case too! More shade for us women of color should be first on the Clinique agenda.

I have this in Pink Chocolate and Matte Crimson. Pink Chocolate is a “garnet” red on my lips. The Crimson is a vibrant, classic sex goddess red. The matte formula isn’t really as “matte” as traditional matte lipstick. It goes on silky and it stays moisturizing throughout wear. It has a gorgeous finish, and it stays put. I really think this is the best lipstick I’ve ever used. This lipstick lasts all day long; even through meals and drinking! I can always feel it on my lips, so they feel soft and smooth. I can’t get over how good this lipstick is. I’ve never come across anything else like it. I highly highly recommend trying this is you’re a lipstick lover like me.

I’ve had a difficult time finding the right shade of lipstick for everyday use. This one is creamy and I do like the color, although It is very neutral. It is supposed to be long lasting, although I do find that I have to touch it up fairly often. At $19 CDN per tube though it is a good price. I will buy this again until I finally do find that one perfect shade!
