I bought this in the shade Haunting, thinking it would be a deep, warm mauve/nude, because that’s what the BMC website and ULTA both depicted in the photos. Nope. This is a grayed-out brown. And a lot of reviews that I’ve seen from a variety of sources say the same thing. What’s the point in selling something with a gross misrepresentation of the color?! I’m sure this kind of shade looks great on some people, but it’s not what I was looking for. And it darkens as it dries, which isn’t good for a shade like this.
The packaging is lovely, and the elongated, flat applicator makes it easy to apply this in a precise manner. The formula is nice too – not too drying, though it doesn’t apply over itself very well. It’s $18 USD, which isn’t bad for a semi-high end lipstick.
