Sorry to be the low review on here, but this totally dried out my lips. The color (Envy) was gorgeous for my pale cool-toned skin, but I couldn’t handle the super tight feeling my lips were getting within a day of wearing this. I respect Tarte for trying to use more natural ingredients, but I think the peppermint oil or something in this was too much for me. I also had the lipstick pop out when I tried to turn it up, so I feel like the tube isn’t too sturdy? It basically broke and popped out. I turned it like you would with any other lipstick, nothing unusual. I plan to return this and keep searching for a lipstick.

I have 4 of these, and have fallen in love with them.. I like them over the NARS matte pencil because these are twist up… They are creamy, long lasting, and not drying. I hope they expand the line with some new shades soon, I’m dying to get some pink/peachy, mauves or more plummy tones…Definitely recommend.

I am absolutely obsessed with these. When it’s winter and cold out, I need something with more moisture that regular drying lipstick. These tow-the-line between a balm and a lipstick. They last longer than a balm, have the intensity of a lipstick, and moisturize like a balm too. They have a teensy minty feeling after applying that is refreshing and not at all overpowering. These are a HG product for me.

THESE ARE SO UNDERRATED !! These are amazing. I can’t believe no one talks about these. These are so good o have the shades whisper, exposed and pure. They’re stunning. I’m obsessed with “whisper”. these are so smooth, velvety, and have the best staying powder out of any lipstick I’ve ever worn, yet they’re so hydrating at the same time , but they don’t slip and slide all over the place. These are incredible. One of tarted best items ever and it takes a lot for me to love a lip product especially since I have small lips and not everything flatters me like it does on other people. These make my lips look so good though. I can’t even explain how much I love these. Makes me want to get rid of so much of my other lipsticks and just buy all the colours of this range instead.

I got this in Revealed as part of the Sephora give me some nude lips package and I love it. Perfect brown color, great smooth texture. Not super long lasting but that’s to be expected from a lip tint. Also hydrates my lips. Total win!

Awesome product. It stays on after eating. It’s not drying. Smooth when you put it on. I have it in the color envy. I hope they don’t discontinue this line.

I am really glad I found this product! It is definitely THE nude lipstick for me. I’ve been searching high and low for that perfect nude and I’ve never never found it. Shades I’ve found were way too pink for me (Milani – Teddy Bare) or are too light for my color (NYX soft matte lip cream – Cannes) which is a medium brown (Like Zoe Saldana).
Basically it’s hard to find a color that suits me and has the right undertone. I got this product without reading any reviews and based it just off swatches.
I got the shade – Revealed (a light mocha). And its just perfect! It matches my skin so well and I could wear it without brown lip liner – which is a trick all darker skinned women should know when wearing nude lipstick! The solution itself is so pigmented and very smooth to apply. I can’t say much for staying power as I’ve not worn it for extended time. The packaging is attractive and similar in size to that of Clinique’s chubby stick. The price, however, is pretty high. For a perfect basic nude though… I can totally justify my purchase.
In conclusion: If you have darker skin and you’ve not found the perfect nude (still have to use the bloody brown lip liner) give this product line a try!! I’ve read other reviews stating the nudes are too dark for light skin so I do not recommend it if you’re looking for a true nude to match light skin.
If I find a product with a similar shade but better formulation / lower price, I’ll give this an update 🙂
