I have all of them in all 5 shades they offer (a red, a coral, a berry, a mauve and a peachy shade). I was looking for good affordable matte but not drying lipsticks and these are it. They’re not super long-lasting, around 4h but I prefer to reapply than to deal with long-lasting drying formulas.
I love all the colors except “live’s a peach” which I completely dislike because it looks very chalky and emphasizes every dry bit. My favorite color is “mauve over”, it’s great for everyday.
The packaging is not great all the caps were plastic and broke with time. all 5 of them are broken. I fixed them with tape and now they look terrible. That’s my major complaint.

I purchased this on a whim while in Wal-Mart with my 4 year old son. I didn’t even know that Flower came out with a matte twist up crayon; apparently this came out in 2013. I’ve tried every matte lip paint on the mass market (with the exception of Ofra, Lime Crime and Gerard Cosmetics). What I dislike about liquid paints is how drying they are for the matte look. What I love about matte crayons (like the Nars Velvet) is that they still feel a bit moisturizing even when they give you a matte appearance. But man, those Nars pencils are so damn pricey. I have been on the look out for a dupe for either Bettina, Belle du Jour or Sex Machine. At $7.98 USD, this Lip Suede in Mauve Out is pretty much a dupe for the three colors swirled together . Bettina has a bit of a shimmer to it, where as the Flower Mauve Out is just a flat color. I have not tested it against my numerous cups of coffee, but I do think it will come off on cups as it came off on my son’s cheek when I kissed him good night. The application is very smooth. I love the twist up unit. Nars’ pencil is one that you sharpen which means you lose some product even without getting a fairly pointed tip. That makes me a bit crazy considering how much I’ve paid for them (they run close to $30/each). This one has a twist up component and holds 0.09 oz which is so good. My lips don’t feel dry. The Mauve Out color is considerably darker than my lips because I have lost a ton of pigment in my lips once I hit 40. Truth be told, my lips were never super pigmented even in my teens and 20s. But lately they are super pale pink. This color for me (MAC NC20 for point of reference) is MLBB if my lips had a decent amount of pigment. I never leave the house without lip color because they fade into my already pale face. This is by far the best $8 I have spent in ages. You won’t regret it. I just wish they had more shades. The shade range sucks. And I can foresee issues with the cap potentially cracking. Just a heads up.

I love all the shades of the lip suede velvet lip chubbys. I have 4 shades. The texture is smooth and,the color stays on for a good length of time. However I was very disappointed with the plastic caps they cracked in half within a week of use. I had to put saran wrap on the top so I could carry it with me. Eventually that got very messy so I had to resort to cutting all the product out of the container and putting it in the plastic holder. Now its very inconvenient to use and carry. So I no longer use it. If the packaging changed I would definitely use again.

I love this. It works much better than the much more expensive lipsticks I buy. Works well for my dry lips. I wish they had a little more variety in colour. Berry-More is the one I wear the most as it is a really nice but not over the top red. I also love the Red-dy colour when I am in the mood for something more dramatic. Unfortunately the Mauve Over looked hideous with my olive skin tone which was a shame as it looked quite nice in the package. Life’s A Peach did nothing for me either as it was too light and also a tad strange looking, as though it was a child’s play lipstick. The lids crack easily. Mini elastics will come in handy to hold the lid on securely.

This is a fantastic matte lippie. The fact that it is $9.00 CDN makes it even more amazing. I would by it even if it was $25.00. It’s matte, but does not accentuate lines, does not dry out my lips, wears really well and when it does wear off it’s even. I love MAC satin lippies and I would go so far to say that this formula is better but the shade range is small. The formula is amazing IMO.
The only two downsides are that the clear top breaks but I seem to have that problem with most chubby sticks so it might just be me. The other problem for me is trying to get it. My local Wal Mart is always out of most of the Flower line. I would love to get another Berry-more and Red-dy to Bloom for my bag.
If this product were packaged in a fancy bullet with a magnetic closure I’m sure it could be sold for at least $25.00.

I have this in Berrymore.
Color:
It’s a very pretty dark mauve pink, its pinky berry. No sparkles, good everyday work color.
Texture:
Matte but not drying. It’s very smooth to put on, it doesn’t slip and slide like other matte lip stuff. It’s quite light on the lips. Very true that it’s velvet
Staying power:
Honestly, not that great on me. Maybe 2-4 hours, depending if I drink or eat. It is not kissproof or transfer-proof, but it doesn’t creep or smudge outside your lips. I haven’t see a stain with this, which could be a plus for some.
Packaging:
The cap is total crap. I had to wrap mine with washi tape. It broke in half after only 2 weeks of very little use. The rest of the packaging is great, twist up, the outside matches the color and the gold font is pretty.
I usually hate reapplying lip stuff, but for some reason, I actually like the texture of this. So enjoy the fresh wash of color it adds to my lips.
I really like this, I wish I got more colors. This color is very reminiscent of Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry. I have both, Sultry is slightly darker. Both are pretty

I bought the chubby stick in Berry-More last year and I absolutely adore the shade. What’s weird about it though is that it seems to look a little different everytime I wear it. The colour is definitely not accurately represented in the tube, the actual shade is much more brighter but I very nice colour that would suit a variety of skintones! I’m an NC40 at Mac at this is my go to colour for when I want a brighter lip but not overly bright. The only problem i have with this product is the packaging, I like the packagaing of the actual stick, with the cute gold lettering.. but the cap is horrible. My cap broke, and i think it was because i put it back on too aggressively. So I’m not able to store it properly. I went out at bought the red and orange shade as well. I like the red shade but the orange is a bit tooo orange for me. I think this product is very comparable to Tarte’s matte balms (love those things), these chubby sticks are a cheaper alternative to Tarte. I adore crayon types of lip products, I have clinque, tarte, buxom and this Flower brand (which is by Drew Barrymore btw). And i would have to say Flower and Tarte chubby sticks are the best ones I’ve tried. They are not drying and they make ur lips look fuller!

I bought the color “Berry-more” but I’m not loving this shade with my skin tone. The product itself is creamy and glides on well, loads of pigment and the price is right. I love the twist up feature and will try another color because the product is definitely a keeper. Think I will give this shade to my mom, it may suit her skin tone better and lipstick is the one product she won’t go without. I have 3 different shades in the Sheer Up version of the lip chubby and am pleased with those. The packaging is sturdy and all around a great buy.
July 16/15 update – bought the shade “Reddy-to-Bloom”, and WOW do I ever love this color red! I thought it might look too cherry but it is actually a true red and a great find for an inexpensive price. I will keep trying this brand, it’s been a solid choice so far.

I got this in the colour “Mauve Over” and I absolutely love it.
Pro: Lovely container, and the colour on it does match the actual shade I would say.
Pro: the colour is like a very light purple almost pink, but a little bit which i love. I’d almost say its more of a dusty rose. So it is a very light mauve but i’ve been looking for this kind of colour so its perfect for me.
Pro: very hydrating, my lips feel so smooth and it has great pigmentation
Pro: it is a suede matte colour
Con: it does have a little bit of transfer which is expected since its just a simple chubby lipstick, but it will only really transfer if you have a lot of the product on your lip, if you have a little bit on the transfer isnt as noticable.
Con: it does come off or wear down after some time so you do need to re-apply it, but its so hydrating i want to apply it again anyway lol
Interesting things to note: it features a Orchid and Papaya infusion which is why it feels so hydrating. No fragrance, talc, D5 or parabens.
It is Not Tested on Animals and made in the usa
One final thing, although fragrance is not added, it does have a scent but it is barely noticeable. if i had to describe the smell i would say it is almost crayon like but not quite, but again barely noticable. I have to put the stick right to my nostril to smell it.

This is a great long lasting lipstick. It’s easy to apply, and no lip liner needed. It’s very moisturizing. The color is great. I have color berry more. I want a lot more colors. This by far is one of my favorite lipsticks.
