I’d like to preface this review by saying 1) I bought these when they had an ipsy offer so they were less expensive than they would have been (I got them 3 for $18) 2) I only have a few shades so I can’t say anything about the rest 3) I have very dry, constantly chapped lips 4) I don’t prefer matte lips anyway
Okay, now that I have that out of the way… I don’t really like them personally. I got the colors Just Fab, Hot Tangerine, and Cuddling. The colors that I got are pretty pigmented and apply evenly (hot tangerine, on me goes on more chunky than the other two). They are not overly drying which is nice. The colors are cool (I don’t like hot tangerine, but that is more because I don’t like orange)
The packaging is wonderful. Very sturdy. The cap shuts and feels very secure. The only down side is that only the color names are on the bottom of the tube in very small print, so it’s kind of hard to know which one you’re grabbing.
If they are on sale, I think these are wonderful especially if you like the colors, if not, I personally wouldn’t buy it (mainly because I have so much makeup and I am cheap af)

first off, DO NOT trust the website for color accuracy on the lipsticks, unless they’ve updated it. i purchased 9 to 5 and it appeared to be a really pretty pinkish nude, only to have it come as a barbie pink. i also purchased bachelorette which looks like a really warm and rich rose, only to have it actually be a plum. i ended up selling 9 to 5 because the color was so horrid (barbie pinks don’t look good on me at all, lol).
aside from that, it has an okay-wear. i definitely had to reapply throughout the day, especially after eating. i also noticed it was really drying. overall, for the price, i rather buy a MAC lipstick.

The packaging is nice. It is some kind of metallic material not some cheap plastic. It goes on smoothly for the most part. Very pigmented! The only down side, like all other matte lip product, it will cling on to every dry part of your lips. Not for people with wrinkles or dry dry lips.

I bought 2 lipsticks in the colors Wine Stain and Bachelorette. You would think with a name like Wine Stain, the color would be more plummy, but this is actually more of a deep red color with a bluish plummy undertone. When you swatch it on your hand, it looks like a reddish plum, but on the lip, it looks more dark red. This is a perfect red for my NC30 yellow undertone Asian skin. It is as described, it’s a creamy matte. It looks matte on the lip, but it doesn’t feel as drying as the Mac matte lipsticks. This color is similar to Tarte’s Lipsurgence natural matte lip tint in Fiery, but the Tarte color is more of a brick red (and it lacks Tarte’s nice minty taste and smell).
Bachelorette is a dark bright pink (like magenta mixed with rose and hot pink) and it turned out to be my favorite over Wine Stain which was my “go to” lipstick until I discovered Bachelorette. It has the same creamy matte consistency. Both lipsticks have a floral waxy smell which I don’t find unpleasant, but some people might not like it. You can also taste the scent too, but it’s not overwhelming to me. The scent is about as strong as the Rimmel lipsticks.
I don’t know about the lighter colors, but these 2 colors last. On me, they lasted about 4-5 hours (with drinking and eating) and they leave a nice stain on the lips. I think because they are on the matte side, they don’t bleed as heavily on the lips.
The packaging is sturdy — the white cap looks like plastic, but I believe it’s made of metal (maybe aluminum). The “inspirational” writing on the cap makes the tube look cheesy, but it’s not a deal breaker. Some people might find it cute. I like it better than the cheap plasticky Anna Sui lipstick tubes. Also the cap fits tightly so it won’t uncap in your bag (unlike some of the drug store brand caps which come off easily).
Just in case you are unfamiliar with the brand, it was developed by Michelle Phan, who is a YouTube makeup guru. While her videos are not my favorite, I do watch them for makeup ideas and tips. Honestly, I don’t really care about any of that — I care about the product. In this case, I really love these lipsticks and I would definitely buy again once they are used up.
They are on the expensive side — they list for $16.50 (I bought mine during the Cyber Monday/Black Friday sale), but as quality goes, I’d put them right in the middle between drug store quality (like Maybelline and Revlon) and the high end (like Dior and YSL).
