I bought a vivid red shade called Kiss of Life. The color is vibrant and outstanding. Lots of pigment, but wears off quickly except for the outside… my daughter says it looks like I forgot to put on the lipstick to go with my liner! Still, I love it and will repurchase for sure. Proce is excellent, feel is soft and moisturizing, and doesn’t taste or smell like chemicals. Thanks Rimmel!

YESSSSSS. One of my favorite lipsticks.
PACKAGING: Simple, almost black tube with the Rimmel logo wrapped around it and the crown on the top. Functional and sturdy.
FORMULA: Creamy, smooth, moisturizing, comfortable, and long lasting. Not too creamy to where it slips and slides everywhere which is a huge bonus. It’s everything I look for in a lip product.
LONGEVITY: Lasts about 5 hours. 5 hours is greatly appreciated haha.
COLOR: Medium, buildable coverage. 2-3 swipes for complete opacity. Gorgeous, slightly glossy finish.
SCENT: I love the scent haha. It smells like a blend of Red Hots, maraschino cherries, and vanilla sugar cookies.
Overall, YESSSSS give these a try! It’s everything I look for in a lip product. Definite winner.

I bought the shade 086 Sugar Plum, which can be best described as a sheer pink with a touch of violet with a cool undertone.
The colour is really beautiful on the lips, and I imagine it would look very nice on anyone with pale skin.
But um, the smell.
Overpowering is one way of putting it.
Off-putting is another.
I love this lipstick, but did they have to put so much perfume in it? It smells like they just decided to throw an entire vat of perfume into the mix just for the sake of us poor fragrance-loving consumers and didn’t measure it. I could probably dot this on my wrists and people would be convinced that I was just wearing some kind of strong, old-lady type of perfume. I don’t want to eat this, and I have to make sure not to breathe when putting this on. I don’t have a problem with floral smells and makeup usually – I have a lot of Korean cosmetics at home, and goodness knows the Koreans love their faces to smell like a freshly cut bouquet – but this one errs slightly on the sickly side.
Fortunately the smell does fade (at least to my nose) in about 10 minutes, but I wouldn’t really recommend carrying this around, as opening it up and reapplying in a public bathroom is sure to leave a few people looking around and wondering what the source of that awful scent is.
If Rimmel ever decided to reformulate this and just do away with the smell, I would probably buy this again, but I prefer my lips relatively scent-free, thanks.

I have the satin finish lipstick (black tube) in the color 30 which I would describe as a true orchid purple. Extremely flattering on tan skin tones. These lipsticks are comfortable to wear and almost feel weightless like theres nothing on, not sticky/tacky atall, last a good while unless you eat or wipe them off and very true to color. They do transfer but if you are worried the color will change after drinking water etc, it usually seems same even after transfer since it is so pigmented. I love this lipstick, it is literally the type of formula you would imagine on a good old school lip stick. The scent is that classic lipstick scent with a hint of something floral. Overall worth the money and for the price these are a bargain. I would say I have tried the black packaging and red ones by Kate Moss and I prefer the black ones as they just feel like comfortable creamy lipsticks while the red ones feel more silicone-like or wet powder-like (odd!). Definitely go and get yourself these, 100% opacity, not drying and very comfortable, worth the money and lots of colours to choose from.

I really like the rich, creamy texture of this lipstick. Feels like a prestige brand lipstick on the mouth. I have this in Jet Set Red, which is a rich, orange-based red. It does last long time on my lips and does not dry them out. Contains parabens.

I own three of these; Frosted, Crush, and Airy Fairy. I’ve had them for a long time and I really don’t know why I don’t wear them more. I really love them!
Today I wore Frosted and this stuff really does last all day. I went to work, ate lunch with it on, and 8 hours later it’s still going strong, although it has faded a tad. Frosted is a very unique, gold shimmer. There’s no gloss to it; just beautiful golden shimmer. It’s not opaque, your natural lip colour will show through. For some it might be a weird shade, but I love it! It looks like something a runway model would wear in a fantasy themed fashion show. Just lovely. It doesn’t dry out my lips either, and the other shades seem to be good for this too.
Crush is a coral/orange shade that I originally bought just for the sake of trying out. Unfortunately, I can’t make it work with my pale, neutral skin and dark features.
Airy Fairy is an absolutely lovely muted pinky mauve shade. It’s been a while since I’ve worn it, so I don’t have much to say about it right now, but I remember it being one of my favorites!
The formula for these gets a 5/5 from me! I also really like the packaging; no problems whatsoever with the twist-up mechanism and the aesthetic is very classy for the price.
Next time I go shopping I’m definitely going to be picking up more shades.

Pretty decent lipstick by Rimmel. Easy to apply, well pigmented and good color selection. This lipstick does transfer like most. The lipstick has a nice sheen to it. Lasting ability is a few hours (without eating, drinking, or kissing). Overall a good product.

I have Heather Shimmer (browny pink) and Amethyst Shimmer (muted purply-pink). Both have a pretty glossy, lightly shimmery finish. The colours are very pretty, Heather being quite natural looking and Amethyst being a little bolder but wearable.
Applying the lipsticks is fine, they go on very softly and are reasonably bold, but bleed a little bit, so don’t expect razor-sharp precision without a liner. However, the moisturising illusion totally wears off within a few hours, at which point my lips looked quite shrivelled! Lip balm is a must before you apply. The lipstick also transfers easily but is quite long wear regardless.
I bought these in a third-off sale. I do not think I would want to purchase these full price- I’d rather go hunting for something a little better quality. But they were a good buy for £3.30!

I got the shade Asia 077 and did a full review on the individual lipstick page. My general feelings about this lipstick are:
– the finish was frosted which you couldn’t tell when swatching on your hand and ruined the product for me. It went from a nice pinky brown with a very light coat to a greyish brown frost with a proper coat or two which just turned me into a shiny corpse and with blotting it looks a little like Nyx’s Flutter Kiss. When I tried it on again later it went to a much nicer pink with slight brown and grey tones so I’m giving it a few more goes before deciding what to do with it.
-packaging: while sturdy it looks a bit cheap.
-longevity: with having to blot out the frost it doesn’t last that long and feels quite dry as a result.
-price: this was one the cheaper lipsticks from Rimmel, they range from £4.99 (this one) to about £6/7.99 and so this sits in the middle of the drugstore price range. I wouldn’t pay the full price of this one again, I’ve had nicer lipsticks for half the price.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend unless you like the frosted finish/ the colour it ended up being the first time, if you can get the colour it came out as the second time then I’d possibly recommend it.

I have this in Bordeaux and I love it! Super pigmented and smooth. Dries out during the day, like any other lipstick would, but nothing a little lip balm won’t fix. Definitely one of my favourite lipsticks, right next to the Marc Jacobs, and Mac ones. Would buy more colours when I get a chance!!

I have used many of these for quite a few years now. Color selection is good, it feels nice on, and stays put very well. The price is nice too, is an inexpensive drug store brand. I tend to like the regular lasting finish colors better than the Kate colors they have now. The Kate colors are bolder and brighter. I tend to like a less dramatic looking lipstick, though they do have some very bold colors to choose from. One thing I liked about this brand is there is no blue tone to many of the reds. The reds came out looking exactly like what was in the tube on my lips. A great product for the price!

Absolutely LOVE these lipsticks!
PACKAGING: Pretty sturdy, almost black tube with a sliver ring around it and the Rimmel crown logo on the top. Chic, sleek, and works well.
FORMULA: Yeeeesssssss pleeeassse! So happy with the formula, it’s creamy, but not too creamy, hugs the lips, smooth, moisturizing, and long lasting. The finish is slightly glossy and gorgeous as well. Rimmel blew it out of the water with this formulation.
LONGEVITY: These last about 5 hours in perfect condition. After those hours, it begins to fade, but they’re is still noticeable color. The slightly glossy finish lasts for those 5 hours as well. Happy with the wear time.
COLOR: I have the shades Airy Fairy and Kiss. Both have a medium, buildable coverage. In 2-3 swipes they are completely opaque. Airy Fairy is a pinky nude with a hint of mauve and Kiss is a medium pink with a red tint in there and purple and silver shimmer washing through it. Such unique colors that are still wearable for everyday.
SCENT: Yum! Pleasantly surprised with the scent of these. They smell like a combination of Red Hot candies, maraschino cherries, and vanilla sugar cookies. They don’t have a taste and they’re not too strong or overpowering.
Overall, definitely one of my favorite lipsticks. Give these a try!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks are of excellent quality and a good value, although not quite as inexpensive as they once were. I have “Kasbah” (pink/peach beige), “Nostalgia” (a shell pink), “Drop of Sherry” (discontinued), “Just So” (gorgeous mauve pink) and now the Kate Moss lipstick “05”. My newest shade does not disappoint. Rimmel’s color selections are never very easy to describe — they’re just different than what’s available from other drugstore cosmetic brands, which makes it a real shame that retailers only stock a small subset — if anything at all — from Rimmel’s Lasting Finish line. Rimmel Lasting Finish 05 is a strawberry pink, medium rich — but too red to resemble a hot pink and not purple enough to appear fuchsia. If you’ve tried Rimmel’s Moisture Renew lipsticks in the purple tubes and aren’t impressed with the staying power, Lasting Finish is the answer. It isn’t too drying, wears well for a drugstore brand, and the colors are not duplicated by every other brand in the cosmetics isle. These lipsticks are advertised to last 8 hours, which I suppose they can without eating or drinking, but expect to reapply every 4-5 hours.

I sort of have mixed feelings about this lipstick but I would buy it again because the things I don’t like are pretty easy to overlook or fix. (By the way I have the color Airy Fairy)
CONS:
*the smell isn’t the greatest. I would prefer it to have a typical lipstick smell or to be non scented but it has a very strong, kinda strange floral smell. Almost moth ball like? I know that sounds awful lol I usually end up putting some sort of gloss over top of it that has a nicer scent to cover it. Otherwise I can’t deal with it.
*Rimmel lipstick’s seemed to have gone up in price. Atleast where I live in FL. Mine was a little over 7 dollars which I think it kind of expensive for a drugstore lipstick. It’s a lot more than some of the other drugstore lipsticks that I have. When I run out I will substitute for something cheaper till I feel like buying this one again.
PROS:
*The color I chose (Airy Fairy) is PERFECT for my skin tone. I’m quite tan/dark. I have a hard time finding pink lipsticks that don’t wash me out or clash with my skin tone. This is one of the few that really does look perfect on me.
*Packaging is simple and sleek. Great for handbag carrying or to put in your makeup bag.
*Texture is very nice. Quite creamy and easy to apply but stays put throughout the day.

I received this from my ever loving dad as a gift in shades Firecracker, which is a shimmery, orangey coral on me, and Guestlist, a frosty medium pink. I absolutely freakin’ LOVE this product. It’s all I wish for in a lipstick. First, it smells delicious. I love sweet smelling lippies, and this has a candy-ish/cookie scent which I can’t stop smelling. Second, it’s surprisingly very long lasting. It lasted 5 hours on me with one meal and minimal drinking. I came home and it’s still there, and it never dried my lips! Well for the record I don’t have super dry lips, but the texture is creamy and non drying. The only thing I didn’t love are the shimmers in it, but it’s workable and not over the top. Will try the other shades without the frost.

This lipstick has the exact shade (036 Kiss) and texture I’m looking for BUT IT STINKS. Just trying it on gives me nausea.

I picked up the color Bordeaux on a whim looking for a deep red color. This IS SO pigmented. and cheap. very cheap. Doesn’t dry out my lips. It is so pigmented that I just dab it on-not swipe-over chapstick and it looks awesome. Same color as the Lip Butter red velvet. Really impressed with Rimmel’s lipsticks.
crummyIcecream2
I have this in 180 Jet Set Red and I love it!
formula: very rich and creamy, not too drying but not exactly moisturizing, best worn with a balm underneath. Without liner, lasts about 3 or 4 hours, with liner about 5 or 6, which I think is pretty good for drugstore, not amazing. Does need a touch up after eating or drinking. There is a scent but I never have a problem with scents; it’s pleasant, kind of a sweet fruity scent, though some might be bothered. It does dry me out a bit after a few hours.
colour: this is really pigmented! one swipe was pretty much opaque on my lips. The colour is, I find, a pretty true red, though may lean warm on some others, I think. It’s a really beautiful red lip and works really well on my fair, fair skin.
packaging: not the greatest, not the worst. It’s a shiny dark tube with the same colour lid, no clear plastic window through which you can see the bullet. Doesn’t come sealed so always pop the lid off and check it before you buy. I’ve had no problems with the lid coming off on me or anything, so that’s good!
price: pretty good! I picked this up for about 6 or 7 dollars in Canada, and to me that’s a win because everything seems to go for more here than it does anywhere else. definitely worth it!
dopeyCur6
They’re okay. I have two. The colours I have are absolutely wonderful. However, there are some issues.
The main issue is that these lipsticks are extremely drying & no matter how much lip balm I wear under & over these lipsticks, my lips are dry like crazy. Plus, despite the fact that both of the colours I have are quite dark (a mauve & a dark blue-based red), in the light & with flash photography, they both look bright pink. It’s really really weird. Inside, they are true to colour. But outside, they’re just .. pink. And I hate pink lipstick =/
On the upside, they do have a faint vanilla scent which I like, & they’re some of the cheapest lipsticks you can find in Australia.

I bought this lipstick in Jet Set Red because I was looking for something similar to Estee Lauder’s Nectarine lipstick, and Jet Set Red was very close to that shade – not to mention a LOT cheaper! It also complemented my warm skin tone very well since it is like a coral-red. It lasts for about 3-4 hours on average, though you could make it last a bit longer with the usual techniques to do so. As mentioned in another review, this lipstick is a bit drying, so you may wish to use a balm underneath. Overall, a good colour and product!
