I bought a gift set of Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir Intense,it was a 50mil perfume and a lipstick from this line(shade 022).I’ve been collecting La Petite Robe Noir perfumes since the first one hit the shelves(right now I have 6 different flankers) and was so happy to own a LPRN Lipstick.it looked so cute in the middle of my LPRN perfumes.but I wasn’t excited to try it as I’m into super matte,full coverage lipsticks,also I usually don’t wear red lipsticks.it was sitting there,unused on my vanity until one day that I needed a red lipstick to match with my clothes and I remembered this one.I was surprised to see how much I love it!
It’s not full coverage by any means and has a balmy texture.as mentioned before I usually dislike this type of lipsticks but this one doesn’t have the heavy,greasy feeling of shiney lipsticks.I have never used anything similar.it goes on smoothly on lips and eventhough I can see my lips through it,it doesn’t show textures.It’s as if I have the softest,youngest and the most beautifully full lips of the world.it really is deliciously shiny! Not the greasy type of shine,not sparkly or too wet either.It’s like the glow of well moisturized lips
I have to use a lip liner to define my lips as it’s impossible to do that with the lipstick alone.I was ready to experience a lot of transfer,colored teeth but was surprised to see it didn’t smear or stain anywhere.It’s not long Lasting but is one of the best short lived lipsticks as it doesn’t become blotchy or messy after a while.after a while it’s beautiful shine goes away but my lips are still evenly colored for a while,then it just starts to fade away slowly.I don’t experience the usual dryness after putting on this lipstick,it actually seems to work as a lipbalm.
and about the shade,it’s also gorgeous.not a pinky red,or an orangey or brownish one.It’s pure red but doesn’t look flashy and can be used daily eventhough I often choose nude shades as my daywear lipsticks.usually red lipsticks look too much on my light skintone but not this one
I also LOVE it’s cute,girly packaging and it’s sweet,fruity scent which I don’t find similar to any of LPRN perfumes.the only CON is that it’s shades name isn’t written on it and there’s just number(I googled and guess 022 is Red Bow Tie),the other CON is that I can’t carry it in my makeup bag as I’m afraid the top part may break
But PROs overweight the CONs.one of the biggest PROs for me is that my husband who doesn’t like lipstick and asks me to never put on lipstick at home,likes this one
Recently I had decided to stop buying high-end lipsticks as I’m pretty satisfied with 3.5$ WetnWild and Golden Rose lipsticks but I may actually but this one,eventhough very expensive,it looks flattering and makes me feel good
