This “Kiss me” lipstick originates from Japan. No surprise there…the girls over there love their lips pale, nude and pink. It’s a really popular brand here in Asia (Thailand), and I see it in many beauty shops in Bangkok. I bought it in Watsons and I I paid around 350-400 THB (10-11$). You get 5 grams, which is quite a deal when you compare with Mac’s 3 g,16$ lipsticks
They sell it in 4 absolutely stunning shades and I got shade #4 Cinnamon pink which is a really pale nude peach/brown, it’s the most gorgeous shade. It’s the browner shade of them all, while the other are more pale and pink. I have to say the shades they offer reminds me a lot of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks.
I’m a nc42+ with very pigmented, dry lips. I prefer my lipsticks matte rather than high shine or glossy. It’s really pigmented and creamy but I need to use this with a light hand. The key to using this one on my skintone is not to overdo it. Simply tapping it onto my lips instead of swiping it. Goes on really smoothly without any patches. It has the most interesting texure, once you apply it it feel super creamy and then it kind of dries to a powder finish, really unique. Some people might find it drying if they use more product than me.
It’s beautiful on its own or topped with a lipgloss. Very long-lasting. It got a slight vanilla scent to it (not as strong as MAC) but nothing you can smell once its on your lips. It feels really nice on your lips, it’s not too drying, it feels very matte and not greasy whatsoever which I love. I would describe it as a demi-matte, colour rich lipstick.
It comes in a black plastic tube with gold text(that rubs off to silver). It doesn’t feel or look expensive, but still chic and different from all the regular bullets out there. I would purchase the other shades if I was paler. But at the moment, this shade is the most appropriate for me. I would not hesitate to buy the others if I lived back in Sweden and was the little pale me. This shade makes me happy for now!
