I completely agree with the other reviewers. Exces de Rouge is a gorgeous, Hollywood movie-star knock-out red. It’s very creamy (it doesn’t contain any shimmer, either) and long-lasting with a strong raspberry scent. Also, imo applying this shade with a brush is a must.

It is the perfect blue based red for PPPs! This is a movie star, red carpet red! The formula is nice and long lasting. This is very well pigmented with one application. The color is buildable and doesn’t feel like frosting. This is the best red I have ever found. It’s not too blue and not orange at all.

I like the elegant packaging, but wish it wasn’t gold! It does have a hefty price tag, but for an elegant product with this fabulous color and this well formulated it’s worth it.

I will more than likely have to repurchase this product because I will be wearing this color, a lot!

I got this on a Sephora sample card and after one application, in the trash it went ! I’m not the kind that can pull off a really bright red lip, which this color is, so it was no surprise that I looked like a clown or a hooker. I do love Guerlain though, owning many of their lipsticks and lacquers. This just isn’t the right red for me 🙁
