Gorgeous true deep red. It is like velvet on my lips. It covers very well and I don’t need to use a lip brush. It was expensive but worth it..the red is a the pinkish/red family. LOVE LOVE

This is a great party color! I purchase this lipstick for the holidays, it is a gread red with pink undertone. I like the shimmer which is not to sparkly, the formula is amazing, the color is bright. the only thing this is not a color you can wear at the office or to run errand.

I thought it was expensive at first (£17!!) but actually I would repurchase this as it’s a lot more special than any red lipstick I’ve bought before, I think this is the perfect one!
My local Guerlain counter had a make-up artist in and she recommedned this to me. I told her I was wearing and white and gold dress to a wedding she said red lips would look great with gold eyeshadow on the lid and brown in the crease. She was right!!
The wedding pictures have come in and my make-up really stands out. Particulalry the lipstick, it’s not a tacky red but a beautiful sheer gold red and you can tell this even in the pictures. The colour lasted all day and didn’t coem off on any glasses I drank from.

Red Strass is a beautiful red with coral undertones and a subtle gold sheen on my pigmented lips. Creamy, not matte but not shiny finish. I would call the color warm to neutral red. I have medium light skin with brunette hair and hazel eyes, my mom has blonde hair with blue eyes and it looks great on both of us–it makes the blue in her eyes pop and perks up my darker features. I occasionally layer Strass over Folie de Grenat (a deep classic red KissKiss) for a brighter pop of color and sheen–beautiful.
I find the packaging a bit clunky and over the top and I wish the lippies were cheaper, but the formula is great and a KissKiss is a nice splurge.

I tried this color mainly because it’s my piano teacher’s favorite lipstick. She’s a sweet, very stylish German-Russian lady whom I love dearly. She also has great taste, as evidenced by her choice of lipstick! “Strass” means “rhinestone” in French and German, but the golden shimmer in this lipstick is sublte, not garish, thank goodness! I can’t tell whether the color itself is a warm or cool red. Sometimes it looks bluish, and sometimes more towards coral. In other words: It’s versatile! I don’t find it to be incredibly pigmented, but it does make a great daytime red, and it feels nice and satiny on the lips.

What a fabulous red! I’ve been looking for the perfect red for a long time, and I think I’ve found a winner! The texture is so light and moist that it’s truly a wearable red even for day. I really love the touch of gold in it.

Red Strass applies so luxuriously, and leaves you with a just bitten look. I’ve mentioned time and again how I can’t deal with Guerlain’s lipstick scent, but for such a lovely look, it’s easy to ignore.
