Easily one of my favourite products from the revamped EM Cosmetics line!! This product is supposed to be Michelle Phan’s take on the liquid lipstick trend without the dryness. No, it isn’t long lasting and smudge proof like a liquid lipstick is. This is more of a lip cream. But compared to other lip creams in the market, this is more long lasting.
I have the shades Faded Clementine, Morning Mocha, Vintage Rosewood and Rose Nude. All lovely on my NC25 skin tone. Faded Clementine is an orange brown – wear it if you want to wear a statement orange lip that isn’t neon looking. Morning Mocha is a more recent addition to their lip cloud line up. For me, it is a great nude lip colour that isn’t too warm or cool toned. On someone darker than me, I think it could pull a little ashy looking. Vintage Rosewood is a much darker berry than the photos on the website, where it appears as a brown mauve. Rose Nude is literally a my lips but better shade; just slightly browner than my actual lip colour.
As to how they feel on the lips… these obviously don’t feel like a liquid lipstick. It also doesn’t feel siliconey as other lip creams I’ve tried do. It feels almost like a creamy bullet lipstick but it stays put better than a bullet lipstick does. It also doesn’t emphasise any dry patches on the lips, no matter how many times I reapply. It just blankets over them, if that makes sense.
All the current shades they have also seem so pretty, it’s truly hard to choose which one to go for if you are thinking of picking up one or two for yourself. Often the brand will do sets and bundles with multiple products in one bag, sometimes with minis. I think these are a good way to try different shades more than once. Will definitely buy more shades once I run out of some of my current ones!
The only criticism I have though isn’t quite directed at the product, but more about its availability outside of the U.S. Shipping is very expensive unless you spend over $100USD, which makes shipping rates $10USD. That’s a lot of money. In this case, I think it’s only best to shop from their site if you plan on doing a whole spree.

Her lip products are delightful, my sister actually has bought a few of her lip clouds through the year because she really likes how they apply. The only thing I will say that the stay power is not super amazing as it can transfer with eating but it definitely does not chap your lips when you need to reapply; which is a problem I’ve had before with lip products that dry matte. Also it smells like chocolate to us.

I finally bought 3 of these when I saw they were on sale. I bought Violent Magenta, Spanish Earth, and Ultramarine Violet. I’ve always been a huge fan of Michelle Phan, but when Em Cosmetics first came, I was not a fan of most of her products. After she bought Em from L’oreal, she came out with these infinite lip clouds. I was skeptical at first, but after hearing her say she wanted to focus on two items, which were at the time matte liquid lipsticks and eyeliners, I decided to finally support her. And I will say, these lipsticks are worth it!
My lips are dry after about 2 hrs, even with lip balm and lip primer, and most lipsticks, no matter what kind, dry up and start cracking. My lips did feel dry after 2 hrs, but when I looked in the mirror, they didn’t look dry nor was there any, if very little, cracking! These lipsticks barely left anything behind on my water bottle when I drank some throughout the work day and after eating greasy foods, still on! Admittedly, I did have to do a touch-up after that, but other that, these lipsticks stay in place! The wand for these make it very easy to apply and even get a good application for the cupids bow. Texture is smooth and it does have a sweet fragrance, kinda vanilla crème-ish, but that smell doesn’t last long. One thing I also like, is that Michelle has pictures of what her lipsticks look like on different skin tones.
Now mind you, I usually use lip balm and Elizabeth Arden’s Advanced Lip-Fix Cream as a primer, but that’s my usual routine for any lip product like lipstick and lipgloss. I’ve also tried this without my lip-fix cream, and they still stay on and look pretty good for a while.
ONTO THE COLORS!
Spanish Earth: Almost like a chocolate brown. Went on very easily and gave my skin a nice warm glow.
Ultramarine Violet: Admittedly, I was TERRIFIED of putting this on! Not because of the color itself, but because dark colors like this usually take a while to go on evenly and usually amplify dry spots if you have any. But this color went on surprisingly smooth and it didn’t take me long to get it on evenly. A very beautiful deep-blueish violet. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try out a dark color, but don’t wanna try black lipstick.
Violent Magenta: a magenta color that to me, feels a little more on the reddish side, but still has pink in it. A very beautiful color and great if you’re wanting to change up your traditional red lipstick.
