I have two lipsticks from this line: Bombshell and Two Timer. Both are super pigmented; I can dab them lightly over lip balm and they still look amazing. They can be a bit drying though, so I definitely recommend pairing them with a good balm and exfoliating your lips first. They aren’t kiss or beverage proof, but they fade to more of a lip stain rather than disappearing entirely or leaving that weird bare patch in the center of your lips. Apply with a lip brush if you can since the Chapstick applicator tends to get everywhere.

This is my first review so bare with me here…
So I purchased the opaque matte lipstick from impulse cosmetics in the shades cliffhanger (a burnt orange in the photo) and pretty please (a bright cherry pink). I ordered them 2 weeks ago from the UK and received them yesterday.
Straight away swatched the colours on my hand, pretty please is very close to the picture, however, cliffhanger is a deep bronze brown, no where near as orange as the picture (which is the only reason I’ve dropped a rating).
I was initially disappointed due to the colour difference, but decided to give these a go anyway. I applied my normal makeup and used a lip brush for application, I tried pretty please first. You need a very, very steady hand or a brush to apply due to the balm style tube.
It was super pigmented, very bright and brushed on like a dream! you can overdraw and it still looks like a natural lip line! I found it fun to apply, but may be a little difficult for newbies.
I then proceeded to eat a greasy kebab, drink, smoke and went out without the lipstick…
…6 hours later and it’s every bit as bright as the first application! Longest lasting lipstick I have ever used, I will definitely be re purchasing this in different colours.
P.S – the printed packaging is cute but not fantastic.

I absolutely LOVE these Opaque Matte Lipsticks by impulse cosmetics!!! I bought the shade “Pretty Please” which is very similar to “Cherry Picking” by Wet n Wild. This lippie is highly pigmented, providing an very opaque semi-matte finish. I say semi-matte because there is a slight sheen to the finish, but in a good way. If you love old school matte lip colors (like Ruby Woo) you’ll love these. This little lippie (and when I say little I mean the size of a chapstick) is somewhat moisturizing with out being “slippery” if you know what I mean. I loathe lipsticks that are slippery and sheer, this has none of that. I can NOT wait to try more colors, I just ordered a few more of their red shades “Two Timer” and “Arcadia” and can’t wait to get them! I do have to mention the hideous packaging though. They’re in a chapstick type of container with a printed label. I know it’s an indie brand and the formula is so thick and dense (hard to pour) so I’m willing to over look it. Applying a lipstick from a flat end, rather than the typical slanted end does take some getting used to, but if it bothers you, a lip brush could be a simple fix. I love these!
