I have very pale, neutral undertone skin. This shade, Kim K.W. is very light but give a wonderful neutral look. I use Iconic Nude or Lancôme Ideal lip pencil and the contrast is not harsh, blends nicely and make my lips look kissable, plush and big 🙂
It goes on creamy, coverage is medium to high, glides on good. The scent is similar, if not the same as MAC lipsticks. I enjoy reapplying without any bad build-up.
The lipstick doesn’t come off quickly, but typical wear as MAC lipsticks.
Packaging is old looking with some weight to it, in rose gold shade. It opens well, and closes securely. I’m surprised the rose gold doesn’t fade off.

I plan to buy more charlotte tilbury lipsticks in other colors! This is an awesome color very pale tan buff I love this color. I’m not a big kim kw fan but charlotte has worked very hard to capture her “essence.” Welll done charlotte!!!

I didn’t buy this but got a swatch of it when buying another CT lipstick. I’m fair skinned blond and this just washes me out and doesn’t make my lips pouty at all. I wouldn’t buy it … it’s kind of an ’80’s nude which isn’t flattering to most skin tones. I Iove nude lipstick but have full lips and want lipstick to emphasise my pout, not hide it

This is my first CT purchase as I fell into the hype. I purchased one lipstick to test the brand out. This shade is exactly what Kim Kardashian would wear. On my nc25-30 skin it’s nude beige with strong light pink undertones. Almost unwearable/unflattering. When I did one swipe it looked fine, 2 swipes and it looked kinda crazy. I totally agree with the previous reviewers in that I picture myself wearing this lipstick with a smoky eye and it does look like a creamsicle pink! Although this feels nice on the lips and I thoroughly enjoy whipping out the gorgeous rose gold lipstick case, I wouldn’t repurchase as the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in #42 is a close dupe. In case you’re curious it’s $32 per tube of lipstick.

I own a lot of Tilbury lipsticks including Penelope Pink and Kim KW. Penelope Pink is much more beige than pink, and Kim KW is more pink than beige, but quite pale. Both of these shades are in the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. cream formula (as opposed to the Matte Revolution formula). Like MAC lipsticks, Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks contain vanillin and have a delicious vanilla scent, which is not overpowering.
Kim KW looks great if you wear it with a smoky eye and it looks even better if you have a tan or at least a good bronzer. Otherwise a very light shade like this can wash out some complexions. True nudes are very pale and meant to mute the lips so that the eyes will stand out more. Some people line the lips with pencil when wearing a nude lip so the mouth will still be defined. Long, dark, thick lashes, black eyeliner, and well-shaped brows help the wearer pull off a nude lip. (By contrast, a strong red lip allows you to skip other features – a couple of years ago Burberry models wore strong red lips and very little eye makeup at all, not even mascara.) I rated Kim KW 4 out of 5 simply because it’s not an easy color for everyone to wear, but I love it for a very specific look.
If you just want a good everyday shade that doesn’t require too much effort, seek out testers for Super Cindy (peachy pink brown) and Secret Salma (cool medium pink with a tinge of brown) in the matte formula and perhaps Stoned Rose (dusty warm rose) in the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. formula. I wear Stoned Rose when I’m almost in the mood for red, but not quite. If you want something in the nude family but want a deeper nude, Hepburn Honey (honey beige nude) is a bit darker than Penelope Pink. Very Victoria (matte), is a cool taupe that can serve as a nude for medium to deeper complexions.
This line is relatively new (only three years old at the time of this review) so it is still gaining an audience and there aren’t many Charlotte Tilbury counters in the U.S., however; trying the colors in person is so crucial to finding flattering shades for you. I must preface this review by stating I am not a Kim Kardashian fan. I do like a nude lip though! Therefore, I had high expectations for this shade and this lipstick failed to deliver. This shade is a creamsicle pink color on me. I hope to try Nude Kate and Penelope Pink next. I will not repurchase.
