This is w soft creamy beige mocha with a tinge of griege. It is so gorgeous! I use MAC Nice N Spicy or MAC Morning Coffee PLW liplliners w/ it. I agree Touch (also Cream In Coffee, fast play, Japanese maple, & high tea) are similar. It’s a MLBB beige very classy on, conservative & beautiful ev1 needs something like this. #winning

After seeing online swatches of this on people whose skintones I thought matched mine, I purchased this online, with high hopes that this color would look as pretty on me as it did them. WRONG. Double shot is described as a ‘full bodied mocha cream’ and I agree. It’s a beautiful sophisticated, brownish pink color. However, against my medium tan skin ( with very strong yellow undertones) it was an unflattering, prominent shade of gray with just a slight tinge of pink that emphasized the redness/flaws in my skin, while also making me look sickly and pale. No bueno. I’ve tried using lip liners and mixing it with other lipsticks to darken it, but it just looked muddy. Being an amplified finish, it’s somewhat slick and glossy in texture, yet still opaque, which gives the appearance of fuller lips. My lips are already pretty big so I can’t be walking around looking like I got ashy colored lips. I dont wear Mac foundation, but I wear lancome teint idole in 410 W bisque and/or 420 N, if that helps. So ladies, dont be like me, try before you buy! Only deducting one lippie because I’m petty and mad that, for it being such a pretty color it didnt work for me, lol.

An amazing nude (beige-pinky) shade that looks lovely on my skin tone. I know I have to go back for a back up- it’s that amazing. I don’t even need a lip pencil, but when I do, I have used cork. For reference: Too Faced mocha, Becca Tobacco, MAC face and body C6.

I bought this without testing it first, which was daft. It looked gorgeous on the swatches I’d seen online, but when I applied it, it looked a bit silly on me. I’m very pale; NW10 foundation is my shade, and it made my lips look tiny and far too dark. Also didn’t last very long – it had all but disappeared after about 90 minutes. Gutted, I had such high hopes! I think this would look very lovely on someone with a bit more colour in their face though.

Neutral, nude brown with pink undertone. This was my first lipstick purchase, and I’m in love — the texture/consistency and light (almost coffee-like?) smell of this amplified cream is everything I wished a lipstick to be (and couldn’t find, thus my staying away from them). It’s smooth and creamy, a little goes on sheer and a bit more gives great color density. No unpleasant lipstick-y smell, no overly flowery or “sophisticated” scent either. This shade gives me a MLBB shade, perfect for work – polishes up a look without looking makeup-y.

This is a lovely pink-beige, but is just too grey for my NW-20 complexion. I ended up looking washed out and sickly. This would probably look fabulous on an NC-25 and up. I was intrigued by it on the MAC Web site, and bought it on a splurge. It’s a beautiful color, so I can’t take off points for that, only that it doesn’t look good on me 🙁

GGG. C40. Brown hair. Brown Eyes. I got this from my B2M Empties. In the tube, it appears to be a cool tone, nude brown with slight hint of a neutral pink undertone. On my lips, it’s a basic nude color. I really like this color a lot. It gives my lips that nude JLo look, however I suspect on anyone lighter than a GGG, it’d probably look more brown. I like using this with Cork lipliner to give it a more brown look. However, on days when I want to be natural, I play up my cheeks with a nice peach blush to even out the cool tones of this lipstick. It makes me look very natural and polished. If you like Double Shot, you may also like Touch, which looks basically the same on my lips.

I love this for what it is…full-on, creamy color in a cool brown. I have to wear a gloss over it to lighten it up a bit (JT Simmer works well for me) but I received it in a swap and it’s different from anything I already own. Lasts at least four hours, sweet creamy fragrance.

Lovely formula but looked absolutely awful on me! I was really hoping to pull this off but it was too brown and too dark for my coloring (cool LLL/PPP), even when I mixed it with lighter colors. I think on a darker complexion this would be beautiful.

First of all..I love all of MAC’s Amplified Creams! What spectacular lipsticks! Double Shot is definitely one of my favorite MLBB colors. It has to be the best brown for me. I tend to lean towards neutral colors and this kicks it up a notch with a bit of mauve thrown in to the brown. Most of the time, browns tend to look muddy on my pigmented lips and NC30 complexion, but not this one. I am actually going to buy another one to keep at work because it’s very professional and polished-looking.
