I tried this on in the store in Haute Cocoa. This is called a liquid lip balm but it is basically a full coverage lip gloss- somewhat thick and sticky. The color is a medium brown with a hint of pink in it. It goes well with darker skin tones IMO- I am a NC45. But the smell and taste is very off putting. It was very chemical -like and just not pleasant. I also found the $27 price tag to be unreasonable for the product you get. I don’t know that one couldn’t find this color and formula in a cheaper beauty line, perhaps even in the drugstore- I am thinking a brand like NYX for example. Overall, a big disappointment.

Looks like I’m in the minority here, but I love this in Haute Cocoa. It’s a rich brown, 90s color that reminds me of MAC Touch Lustre lipstick, only darker. I’ve tried other colors in this line, but it just didn’t work with my skin tone (NW25/NC30). I absolutely adore the texture and it gives the right amount of color and shine. Matte lippies don’t look good on me for some reason, so I’m glad that it feels smooth like a balm and has enough color and shine like a gloss. Just hope they don’t discontinue Haute Cocoa anytime soon.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I’ve bought two shades already (Cool Beets & Smoothie Move) and I love how they go on, glossy, but not at all sticky, and very moisturizing. Although I do put on a lip balm before I use it, I suspect if I didn’t, I would still be good. Smoothie Move is one of the prettiest glosses I’ve ever used! I use it in both the day time and the night time, layering on different amounts depending on the look I’m trying to achieve. It goes well with my caramel brown skin because it looks natural, almost as if I’m not wearing anything if I only put on one coat. I would recommend this to anyone if they’re looking for a great gloss.

Tried in hippy shake…really liked it. Gloss like texture but lasts so much longer then a typical gloss.pretty natural color….I’m impressed.

I was skeptical that it would have staying power and it does. Great colours, great product!

I bought this lipstick in Juicy Date and Give a Fig. Both colors are very saturated and go on smoothly. With the doe foot applicator, I do not feel the need for lip liner. They do not bleed into my lip lines. They wear well, and are not sticky or cakey after a few hours. They are easy to re-apply. I love wearing them, and will probably purchase more colors in the future.

Smoothie move is an amazing shade that takes you from day to night, also love how the formula is so moisturizing for a liquid lip (as good as the nourishing lip color formula)! 10/10 would repurchase ????????

Bobbi Brown hit the bulls-eye with this product. It is so, so comfortable to wear with a beautiful rich pigment. Mildly sweet scent, no chemical taste.
Usually liquid lipsticks have the downfall of drying your lips out, but not this one, even if it transfers a little easier. The staying power is still very good and the texture is a hybrid between the regular drying liquid pigments, and a moisturizing lipstick.
On the pricier side, but you pay for the name of the brand, and packaging is very good quality. Would definitely repurchase.

Definitely one of the best liquid lipsticks that I’ve tried so far, the color payoff is fantastic with these. There’s 14 different (and equally gorgeous) shades to choose from, just how I managed to whittle it down to 2 shades in the end (Bitter Sweet and In a Jam) at Sephora I will never know! These go on semi-matte with a slight sheen but not sticky like lip glosses, yet nor are they drying like matte lip sticks generally are. If anything I find these to have a moisturizing effect on my lips and I’ve noticed they’re less dry at the end of the day when removing the lipstick, compared to others I’ve used before, i.e Too Faced Melted Matte liquid lipstick. So far I haven’t needed to use with a lip liner although for more precision you totally can do, personally it just didn’t feel necessary to me. The only very minor criticism I have of these is that they do transfer and I end up re-applying at least once, maximum twice later in the day. I find allowing them a couple of hours from applying, before eating or drinking definitely helps them last longer…if and when I remember to not instinctively reach for that glass!

Main Squeeze – bright, rich red pink – on me (AAB/NC25), at first it looked way too bright against my skintone. Once it’s settled in and/or blotted a bit, then it’s not bad at all – maybe a little outside my comfort zone but in a good way.
Smoothie Move – rich deep rose. The shade wears deeper and redder than I expected. Awesome for work.
Product – The pigmentation is great. Full coverage with one layer. Easier to work with than a solid/bullet lipstick. The texture is smooth and not tacky. Texture feels lightweight and non-drying on my eternally dry lips. Doesn’t dry down to some uncomfortable or matte texture. More of a satin finish. Wears down evenly but persists well even after eating.
Packaging – Comes in a wanded tube, with a square cross-section and rounded edges, and clear body to show off the color inside. The cap color to matches the product and doubles as the wand handle. The applicator tip is a small flocked version of a masonry trowel (angled, flat, and kinda pear-shaped) which turns out to be fabulous for applying this product.
Overall – Love this formula AND the packaging. Want to get more shades of this!
